^^^^^^^^^^ This dumbass doesn't know jack shit.

The racing commission (a state agency) is what shut down. No racing commission==no racing (or betting on racing that takes place elsewhere, wagering on foreign races, or any activity at the track).

Just once, do us all a favor and get a fucking clue before you post.

lol horse racing? It's a cruel evil sport and a liberal is upset so she can blame republicans. Lolol oh brother.

Sad about the jobs being lost because of GOP in-fighting. Nothing else.

Statewide it puts 36,000 jobs at risk. Another example on how Republicans can't govern.

Sam Houston Race Park: Racing Track Ordered to Close as Political Groups Dispute Its Funding
The Texas Racing Commission ordered racing tracks statewide to close as senators and congressmen debate a proposed new type of betting. The tracks may consider legal options to resolve the situation.

So the legislatures holding a regulatory agencies feet to the fire for violating the State Constitution and you whine like the little bitch you are. From the link you didn't bother to provide per posting guides:
My bold.

“The Texas horse racing industry, [through] the TRC, is in some sense holding a gun to its own head with the threat to shoot” if funds weren’t allocated, said Mark P. Jones, a political science professor at Rice University in Houston. “In the end, this is a crisis entirely of the Texas racing industry’s own making.”

Texas racetracks close amid budget squabbles -- for now

Says one person's opinion...."in some sense"...really definitive.

Gee fucknuts...the GOP has run texas for something like 30 years now--every statewide office. They are 100% owners of the shit-hole that is Texas. It's of no surprise that they can't run a horse-race.
Sounds like they don't want to. And lots of companies are moving there so we have reality...versus...you.

Yes it's sad that they can't run beautiful horses to death.

You know the people that made the real money were the horse owners, the rich elitist liberals claim to hate.

The TRC was warned that they were exceeding their authority. The TRC ignored them and got bitch slapped, simple as that.

I was told private businesses don't create jobs so this shouldn't affect anything since these are businesses. There should be no job losses.

Democrats don't want to discuss how they rape the poor with their state lotto's and gambling, preying on those most vulnerable and desperate for money. They also don't want to talk about the dismal payout percentage which guarantees the poor will lose their ass, vs say the payout percentage Vegas is required to pay back for every dollar they take in. Its been a few years but I think Vegas was regulated to only take in about 7% of every dollar. When you look at state run gambling they take in like 35% of every dollar.

Republicans field the State Lottery in Texas and up until Midnight last night....the Texas Racing Commission.
No Democrats hold a single State-Wide office. IF anyone is "raping the poor" they are thinking of Ronald Reagan the entire time.

Simple fix, the TRC can comply with the law and the legislature that funds them.

Why can't lefties seem to understand that government is not an employment agency? Republicans are trying to lessen the tax burden for tens of millions of people by fixing the problem. The democrat solution would be to throw more taxpayer dollars at it and pretend that the problem is solved.

Why can't you read and comprehend what you've read?

If you had read the article it says that the government of Texas is destroying jobs by shutting down the agency that oversees the racing business in Texas.

Private jobs at private race tracks are now gone because the government closed it down.

Why do you people have to either lie or not read the information that's clearly put in front of your faces?
