Thanks Biden/Harris

They declared war on fossil fuels. 88% of our good are transported by trucks. What did they think would happen? Costs went up. Inflation. Rates skyrocketed.
You do know that we are producing more oil now than ever before, right?

So that can't be it.

Not how it works. Youre dumb so let me explain.

Their war meant fewer new leases, no new refineries and they closed the keystone. Fewer players producing oil means they can jack up prices.

It would be like them declaring war on pizza shops. If more shops can’t open and a lower shops can’t afford to operate, there are fewer pizza shops. People still want pizza and now are forced to pay more for it. They produce more pizza and population grows and demand increases but they can charge way more for the pizza.

Do you not understand basic economics?

Yes, it is how it works.

The number of leases is irrelevant. The quantity produced is. It's a commodity, traded on a global market.

We haven't built a refinery since 1977, so that can't be it either.

Keystone was never completed, so that can't be it.

Your analogy only works if it's based on facts. Can you show data with the number of US oil producing companies over time?

You don’t get it. Fewer entities producing means they can jack up prices. And yes new refineries were in the works.

You don’t know any of this?

This is a good article. Read it and educate yourself

That would be true if the current production numbers did not exist, we are producing more now than during the Trump era.
