The American Genocide of the Indians—Historical Facts and Real Evidence

LOL....the indians lost to a superior enemy, simple as that.
They'd have done the same if they were capable.
Indian history is full of wars, torture, slavery and every other manner of savagery you can think of.
No they weren't the noble indians the left tries to paint them as,they were savages plain and simple.

Not true.
Since they had no currency and were not agrarian, they were not profit motivated and had none of the abuses we are used to.
For example, the only thing close to slavery they had was when they had to figure out what to do with prisoners.
Native history is NOT full of wars, torture, slavery, etc.
The wars were more symbolic, with very little harm, and more like a sport.
They just established borders of hunting grounds.

And once again, reporting what had happened as if in a vacuum.

In 1863 a coalition of Arapaho and Cheyenne had formed and were attacking settlers all over the region. Including the Hungate Massacre. Where a settler, his wife, and two infant daughters were massacred and mutilated at their homestead. And it was a Cavalry unit that was formed to respond to that atrocity that conducted the Sand Creek Massacre.

One thing needs to be understood, the Indian tribes like so many others was a warrior culture. And their "Chiefs" were not the same thing as "kings". They were frequently ignored, especially as a great many tribes would actually have not one but two chiefs. A Peace Chief, and a War Chief. And if the War Chief decides they want to go to war, there is not a hell of a lot the Peace Chief can do about it at all.

I simply have to shake my head in despair when people try to pretend that most of these tribes were peaceful. They could be, but they could also be amazingly brutal, and were proud of their warrior traditions. No less than the Mongols, Vikings, Romans, and many other cultures. Heck, the simple fact that so many know the names of war regalia should show anybody how warlike they could be.
Wrong.
Without currency, agriculture, etc., you do not have mercenaries.
So then war is very limited.
Not worth the personal risk.

The Mongols, Vikings, Romans, etc. were not primitive tribes and all had currency, agriculture, and mercenaries.

tl/dr.
Positive that you didn't either.

Regardless, native people are still here, building casinos to get reparations from white people happy to donate to the machine bandits with one arm.

Apparently the genocide didn't take.

Making cultures leave their traditional homesteads and move to desolate areas is still genocide really.
The fact they are not dead does not change the fact their culture has been removed by force, and that is really what genocide is.
Just like what Israel is doing to Palestine.
If the Palestinians leave their ancestral homes, they will cease to exist as a culture.

TL;DR

Hopefully a couple of important lessons were learned.

#1.....Don't show-up to a conquest with primitive weapons.

#2.....Or with a weak immune system.

Bad conclusions.

Not only can people always produce more lethal weapons, but the arms race that causes will ruin both societies.
Much better to simply live without the motivations for war, like corruption, greed, etc.

It is not a question of a "weak immune system", but of Europeans and the Mideast living in over crowded filth and breeding grounds that nearly wipes them out on a regular basis.

See weak immune link...3x worse Indians are....they were 90% dead.

Actually it saves them from their neighbors, who tended to dislike being robbed, raped, and murdered, despite all the whining from people a couple hundred years in the future making up silly bullshit like yourself and your 'sources'.

In my state its legal to shoot someone who breaks in to your house. I welcome any and all colonizers.

First we need to decide the reparations you owe for buying, selling, and owning black people.

From the late eighteenth century through the end of the Civil War, Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians bought, sold, and owned Africans and African Americans as slaves, a fact that persisted after the tribes' removal from the Deep South to Indian Territory. The tribes formulated racial and gender ideologies that justified this practice and marginalized free black people in the Indian nations well after the Civil War and slavery had ended. Through the end of the nineteenth century, ongoing conflicts among Choctaw, Chickasaw, and U.S. lawmakers left untold numbers of former slaves and their descendants in the two Indian nations without citizenship in either the Indian nations or the United States.

Baloney. And? It was legal and later perhaps preferable...always rare. Many escaped blacks preferred life with them......

And many would beg white traders to buy them from indians and take them back to their previous owners, another Fun Fact you racist gimps avoid pointing out.

They may not have had coin but they did have hunting land.
They killed each other for that on a regular basis.
