Saddam was handed over to Iraqis, his execution was filmed, with cheering from the excutioners. Barbaric, many are pleased there was no trial for bin Laden, it would have served as a recruitment tool. There is a big difference between those two, Saddam was going sooner or later, from within; taking the heat off bin Laden, as Bush did, allowed him to continue as a symbol for radical Islam.
