I have. Griffith's version glorified the Klan, which of course was a Democrat construct, and caused a bit of a resurgence of that racist Democrat club on release.

This one merely pays a cinematic race card the Democrats hoped to play before the election, with the intent to cause outrage among the black community over those nasty white people with the help of modern rewritten history.

The films are related only by title and a loose rendition of Nat Turner.
