These kinds of things always raise red warning flags for me. A department with that level of authority and that large a budget could pretty well null and void at least parts of the First Amendment and certainly would exacerbate racism that the Democrats seem desperate to keep alive and at the forefront.

They're running out of steam on the whole J6 thing they hoped to use to get them over the finish line in 2024, they can't use the RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSA or COLLUSION schticks any more since they came up empty there, most Americans aren't mad at SCOTUS over Roe anymore and climate change just isn't stirring up much angst or even crocodile tears. They dang sure can't run on the economy or the border or any successes of the Biden Administration.

Racism is pretty much all they have and they have to make up 99% of that.
