Cops shooting dogs for the hell of it is increasingly common.

It seems this is another effect of the militarization of our peace officers.

This cop is seen as a protector of the public and he gets help from civilians in arresting a burglar who is resisting arrest.

Any questions?

There is no information as to why the police were at the house in such a show of force. The police have a right to protect themselves in a situation where they could be fired upon.

Storm troopers?

Those would be police officers who are risking their lives working 30 hours straight searching for a mass murderer thought to possibly be hiding in that house. I'm not sure the circumstances of why they are searching that particular house so aggressively but a youtube video without context isn't enough for me to label these men and women "storm troopers"

This was in response to the Boston Marathon bombings, and essentially the whole city was told to 'shelter in place' meaning don't dare leave your homes or you might get shot or worse by our Storm Troopers.

But you libtards love that kind of Nazi shit these days, doncha?

This isn't true.

It meant there was a dangerous maniac on the loose who could be carrying explosives so it is safer to stay inside while the police attempt to find him. No threat was ever made about being shot by police officers, that is just you adding your own personnel paranoia and outrage to the situation.

Why don't you ask the people of Boston who lived through it?

Boston Marathon bombing polls
SPRINGFIELD — Ninety-one percent of Massachusetts residents agree with the decision to lock down parts of Greater Boston while looking for the second Boston Marathon bombing suspect April 19 and 86 percent have a favorable opinion of the state police's handling of the case, according to survey results released Tuesday morning by The MassInc Polling Group.

Sorry man, everyone doesn't need a daily fix of outrage.

When the police come at you wearing their black ninja outfits, loaded rifles pointed at you with their fingers on the trigger, that implies you will be shot if you don't comply.

What the fuck do you libtards think it means when people are told to 'shelter in place'?

roflmao, libtards have yet to meet a dictatorial policy they don't like or a dictator whose dick they wont suck if the dictator is a leftist.

Yeah leave it to the libtard Boston press to 'prove' that Americans love being forced to shut in the homes and brought into the street at loaded gun point, fingers on the trigger.

lol

I hardly post daily, dumbass.

The difference is incredibly simple.... are you a law-abiding citizen or are you a criminal/supporter of criminals.

Do you have any evidence that the people in the second video were criminals or supporters of criminals? Or that the police even had a fucking warrant?

You must realize that so far as I'm concerned, failure to comply with an LEO's order makes one a criminal immediately, and one must be willing to deal with the potential consequences of being one. Do what you're told, or better yet, don't put yourself in a position to have to deal with the police in the first place, and everything should be fine.

The Police are neither. They are simply the enforcement arm of the Government, whether it be local, county, state, or federal in nature. When properly employing their role in society, they do not have an opinion on what they're doing, they're simply enforcing the law and the will of their jurisdictional authorities.

And if the LEO's orders are found to be completely unjustified, then the LEO has to pay something for it. THAT's the part that has been missing recently.

The poor guy whose dog was shot showed remarkable restraint. I'd like to know what the full story was on the shooting and the subsequent investigation and litigation the owner has against the police. Horrible.

True. However the means to determine that is AFTER the fact, not in the heat of the moment. There is a proper procedure to be followed to complain about things, and it doesn't involve resisting the officers.

I say that as someone who truly believes there's at least a 60-70% chance I'll die at the hands of a LEO unless I am able to move to another state in the next 2-3 years

The cop should at a minimum be suspended without pay for a month or two, and probably should be fired. He entered an enclosed yard without a warrant on what turned out to be a false missing persons situation.
