The Evolution of Jesus in the Bible

the one piece of history everyone seems to agree on was JC was Crucified, that much is not a legend but factual ... the story leading up to the event and the three day delay is their legend.

IF Yeshua existed, and yes, there seems to be agreement that he did, he was crucified, as were many others who rose up against Rome. If one believes the gospel of Mary, he was not "resurrected", but was "missing". legend mixes with stories and get passed along for between 40 to 70 years before the first gospel was written.

There are some historians that claims Jesus himself is a work of fiction. And these Historians aren't Jewish!!

Also, it doesn't help that some early christian writings suggest that Jesus was a cosmic being that never came to Earth. According to them, Jesus was murdered by Demons and not humans.

Makes you wonder--what exactly was in those 26 gospels plus extra that was excluded from the canon? Apparently, someone was getting a spiritual lift from more than the Holy Spirit!!

any particular reason why you choose to believe the gospel of Mary?.....if you're worried about texts written twenty years after Jesus crucifixion (yes, the AD is dated from Jesus' birth, not his death) why rely on one that didn't show up until 500 years later?.....

Similarly, why rely on tales and fables written 40 to 70 years after the alleged events? It's clear that legend building happens when tales and fables are told and re-told, especially in times when fear and superstition were more prevalent. Few of the bibles tales relate first hand accounts.

it isn't that complicated, Hollie.....I chose to rely on the Bible....to this day I find what it relates to be more credible than your posts.....

No, it is not factual. If it were, the Romans would have records. Because they had records of practically everything that was of a certain importance to their colonial empire. And the execution of a state enemy declaring himself king would have been of importance.
The passages in the writings of Tacitus were unveiled as fake. So what is left?
