This process can easily be applied to other areas of human relationships wherein people are mistreated. And the root of it all is a mind condition, namely, a belief. This belief is so ingrained that for many people there is no such thing as questioning it. It is a perfect example that the mind defines and shapes what we ordinarily think of as reality. None of us are above it. You do it too. Even you.

The truly unfortunate aspect of belief systems is that they tend to provoke equal and opposite belief systems in others. Racism provokes counter-racism. Counter-racism provokes counter-counter-racism, and so on. To be effective, opposition to racism must have as its purpose to expose racists to themselves, not make them wrong. Making them wrong only entrenches them in their condition. You see, people are stuck believing that they are as small as they seem. Making them feel even smaller does not work. I am not speaking only of racism, although this all applies to racism; I am speaking here of principles that transform and enlighten the world.

Underlying even a belief such as " 'race' is a natural condition" is the ground of being that we are the contents of our minds, that there is no way we can ever be more than the sum of our parts. This is the base lie that endarkens the world. You know, you can give up being a racist and you will still be who you are. You will survive. The world will not end. And you can still contribute to it.
After you become responsible about your beliefs about "race" what will be up for you is the world condition. The way you can transform the world in this regard is to get off your racism. This gives others an opportunity to get off their racism.
Treat people as who they are, not who you believe they are. I promise you that they will be transformed in your experience and often in their experience as well.

Just because the concept of race has often been used unjustly throughout history does not mean that different races of humans don't exist. Through most of human history, traveling long distances was a slow and difficult task. As such, various populations were isolated from each other. This isolation resulted in different gene pools and groups of people with different traits. One trait that is often a focus point is that of skin color. Other traits included bone structures and hair color.

Now that travel is much easier and because of decreasing racism, the gene pools are mixing together, especially in countries such as the US. In other countries like China, not so much yet. In the future, different races may no longer exist due to the blending of the no longer isolated gene pools.
