I think it's more accurate BY FAR to say that blacks have been underprivileged. There are plenty of dirt-poor white people struggling to make it too. There always have been. The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is a RIGHT, not a privilege. Therefore, racial discrimination is and always was a case of suppression of someone's rights, not a case of someone else being privileged. Having what all people ought to have isn't "privilege".
