However, that doesn't change the fact that Trump tried to use government power take her house away from her when she didn't want to sell. That he failed doesn't absolve his actions that he tried to steal the private property of another citizen for his personal financial gain. He tried once before that, and later reiterated that he believes the government should be allowed to steal private property for others' gain.

I agree with you on Eminent Domain. It is bullshit but if you look at the truth behind private ownership of anything you will see that there is no such thing. Try not to pay taxes on your property and see how long you can keep it. It is all bullshit.

It's ignorant and wrong to maintain that the doctrine of Eminent Domain is either 'stealing' or 'corrupt.'

The right to due process affords the property owner the ability to challenge the taking in court, to ensure that the effort to take private property conforms with Takings Clause jurisprudence; that Trump sought to do so was perfectly appropriate, legal, and Constitutional.

Because Trump's attempt failed doesn't mean he acted in bad faith, or was otherwise being dishonest or corrupt.

I am sure it is. So, there is this guy living in the swamp on some 50 acres his grandparents acquired many moons ago. He does nothing to the land, preserves it in its natural state and there comes the state taking it away from him "for the preservation of natural habitat" If that's not a crock of shit then what is?
