The Newt files

because you and your cohorts have all bailed or tried to change the subject.

Madison is still right and you are still a classless republican party whore who refuses cold hard facts.

So, um, what does that have to do with anything related to his ability to do his job as President?

You need to ask that question to all the conservatives who repeated 'character matters' over and over and over and over again,

like a mantra, in the nineties, when they were talking about Clinton.

Apparently, they were just spewing horseshit, right?

Amazing what they will lie about on the right huh?

Name one lie willow.

If you had one shred of honesty you would admitt Jamess Madison said there is a gaurentee in the constitution of separation of church and state.

Are you honest enough to do it?

James Madison's Veto Messages by Gene Garman

I have recd. fellow Citizens your address, approving my Objection to the Bill contain[in]g a grant of public land, to the Baptist Church at Salem Meeting House Missippi Terry. Having always regarded the practical distinction between Religion & Civil Govt as essential to the purity of both, and as guaranteed by the Constn: of the U.S.

Madison is the Father of our constitution.

essential to the purity of both

Then he should have wrote that in there unambigiously...

The reason he probably didn't was because you had all the puritans in the northern colonies who wouldn't have ratified it if they thought he was dissin' God.

So he wrote something kind of vague about "establishment of religion", and called it a day.

What does that even mean?

Does it mean that Congress can't make any laws that apply to a religion? Nobody tell the Branch Davidians.

Or does it mean they just can't establish a state religion.

I suspect he believed that he did.

Can you believe the audasity of this fool to insult the father of our constitution for poltical party sake?

They will stoop to anything

There are some very dumb people throwing the word retarded around in this thread.

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

He did write it down.

Why do you hate the man who wrote the constitution?

No law respecting the establishment of religion.

No respecting the establishment of religion.

Respect no establishment of religion.

Its cystal clear my friends.

It just dosent fit the right wing lies about the country.
Clearly your understanding of the First Amendment is that of the typical uninformed individual.
You have, for your own purposes, taken the words written in the First Amendment out of context. You conveniently left out freedom OF religion and like all radical lefties taken it to the step of Freedom FROM religion...
Now I suppose you're going to screech on about 'separation of church and state'....Guess what? That does not exist.
I find it amusing how people like you will go batshit crazy over the mere sight of a Christmas ornament on public property or a Christmas display in a store. Yet you will defend to the ends of the Earth a policy which uses political correctness to expose public school students to Islamic studies.
This is why you radical lefties are marginalized in this country. You don't matter.

IN CASE YOU STILL DO NOT CLEARLY UNDERSTAND THE ESSENTIAL MEANING OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLE REGARDING THE CONSTITUTIONAL AND PRACTICAL DISTINCTION BETWEEN RELIGION AND CIVIL GOVERNMENT, READ JAMES MADISON'S REPLY TO THE BAPTISTS:

Absolutely, it means freedom from religion. That's an integral part of freedom OF. Freedom FROM.

I don't know of anyone who has gone crazy, batshit or otherwise, over a Christmas ornament in a store. Is there actually such a case?
