And they abandoned their elderly, babies and the sick to die in the cold wilderness. They often displayed little humanity, and were in fact quite brutal.

There is a story of a white girl who was taken as a slave after everyone in her village was murdered. She was eventually rescued. What they did was hard to read.

There is also the story of Anna Morgan who fell in love and wanted to stay with her Indian husband. There are stories 9f women who refused to return to whites, unless it was to kidnap their children,

The English and the French introduced scalping to Indians. The governors of the colonies instituted scalping as a way for one Indian tribe to help them eliminate another tribe, and to have colonists eliminate as many Indians as possible.

Europeans came to conquer what they considered their land when it wasn't. So of course they raided, killed, etc. So did europeans throughout history. Yet....native americans are the savages? Well golly gee. Who woulda thunk?

Actually no. Scalping was done by the natives long before the French and English. What the Whites did was take a sacred ceremony and monetized it by paying for fresh scalps.

I personally am in favor for everybody simply trying to get along. What happened in the past is not as important as what will happen in the future.

We can separate into different tribes that hate each other or we can realize we are all in the same boat and if we all row together we will get to our destination. If half of us refuse to row and some of us are drilling holes in the bottom of the boat we will be lucky to just go in circles and likely will sink.
