If a computer repair person views illegal activities taking place on a computer he or she is fixing they are well within their rights to report that to the authorities...which is what happened. In some States they could even be charged with a crime for not doing so!

There is nothing "copyrightable" about emails.
Copyrights are for creative works of art that are of value due to their personal creativity.
And when copyrights are violated, it is not criminal, but is satisfied by a civil suit for the loss of income from the plagiarized work.
There is nothing on the laptop worth plagiarizing or suing for copyright infringement over.
Copy rights do not prevent anything from being used as evidence of a crime.

If the laptop is not Hunters which has been one of the claims of the left then Biden would seem to have no reason to file a lawsuit if the laptop was Hunters and the information on it was Russian disinformation which has been the other popular claim then the repairman did the proper thing in turning it over to law enforcement. So given this Biden really has no reason to sue but a really good reason to thank the man for doing the right thing.

As a lawyer, Guiliani is a officer of the court, and so then is an appropriate person to ask if a crime has been committed or not.
