And Mac is a fence-sitter. If you ask him, Do you know the time of day and he says Yes, (without telling you what time it is). Honestly, that's not helpful. Be a man- take a stand.

It is fine to be a moderate. To have some liberal views and some conservative. No problem.

But, when you think of yourself as some kind of supreme being as a result, and your primary liberal views instruct you to tolerate bigotry as the means to combat it, you end up looking the fool.

Who am I talking about?
I wonder how many times you plan on self-identifying in this thread. I'm in the majority, nothing special. You're in the minority, thinking you and your "side" have all the answers.

The majority is wishing you people would get over yourselves and just behave like decent adults. But we just can't get you to do it.

You have it completely backwards. Again. But by all means, keep self-identifying for us, keep making it about me. I'll watch.

"What is the moderate position on abortion?"

I would ask for the "official" moderate position but we all know that doesn't exist on anything.

I think that is the beauty of being a moderate. You cannot be accused of "toeing the party line" since there is no party.

People who talk politics should talk their mind, not someone else's that they've heard somewhere. The worst is when people come on here and start going on about "the sheep" who follow MSM or whatever, and they only believe this stuff because someone told it to them.

Name 5 regular members of this forum who you believe are with you and are indisputably moderate. If you are in the majority, that should be easy.

"Moderate"? Perfect. The second line in my sig, in red, is for liars like you.

I'm not surprised you've been so triggered by this thread.

Please play with someone else. I'm just not interested.

I am a conservative. If you think any of the positions I take are "based on what the party masters demand" , you have it completely ass backwards.

Self-identified Moderates, according to exit polls, voted as follows:

2004 - for Kerry by 9 points
2008 - for Obama by 20 points
2012 - for Obama by 15 points
2016 - for Clinton by 10 points

conclusion, Moderates are left of center and vote Democrat by wide margins.

Of course it does not - moderates are not party dogmatic people like you want to pigeon hole them into. Your statement assumes that they require party talking heads to tell them what their position is. Like I already stated, a moderate is someone that decides for THEMSELVES what position to take rather than going along with the party masters who tell them what position they should be taking. Because of that, the term 'moderate' can apply to a person that is pro choice but small government or someone that is pro life but socialistic. Both those are hard positions but neither fits into a party mold.

For any "moderate" position to prevail on ANY political issue, there has to be enough people with the same mindset pushing the issue. Because of the way our government works. . . . that means those people need elected representatives to push that idea and to turn that position into a political or legal reality.

So, I ask again... "what is the official moderate position on abortion?"

What is the typical moderates end goal, when it comes to abortion?

If your answer is "each person decides on their own?"

Thanks for the laugh.

nut jobs are a big problem. They slow things down, they are regressive(generally) and they keep the duopoly in power.

Conclusion I draw is you believe everything you read.

Quite comical
