The RCC is a Church with a false Gospel of works

Which God are you talking about? Is it the God you make up in your head and does what you tell him to, rather than the other way around?

That's pretty much the definition of everyone's God. Even those who claim to adhere strictly to the Bible are making up in their own heads the interpretation of many passages.

is this really an argument over whether a person can claim they love jesus, be an ass to everyone and never do a good deed, and enter into heaven?

is the op arguing for the right to be a dick and still go to heaven?

The Christian right seems to be testing that theory on a daily basis. I guess we'll find out in time.

Salvation the hidden teaching

Salvation is a free gift of God. We cannot save ourselves through works or sacraments.

You know, all of your basic beliefs came from the Catholic church. This is the group that answered via thuggery, politics etc. all of your basic beliefs. So, it's rather amusing to watch other denominations criticize Catholicism but refuse to question what laid the foundation.

The OT was written by God’s inspired prophets, judges, and kings. It was faithfully copied and preserved by
Jewish scribes. The OT of modern Protestant Bibles contains the same books as the Hebrew Bible.
The NT was written by Christian apostles. None of them were Roman Catholics, because there was no Roman Catholic Church at the time. This was more than two centuries before the Emperor Constantine and Bishop Silvester joined together to create the RCC.

You've got to be kidding.
Have you ever read it?
NOTE: It's the chronologically earliest book of TNT. The closest in time and place to Yeshua.
If you haven't read it, go read it and come back.

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
(James 1:1 KJV)

The RCC has things in common with the Judaism. It says that, in order for people to be saved, in addition to having faith in Jesus, they must also obey laws (official declarations of popes and church councils and participate in religious rituals (sacraments). (FAITH PLUS WORKS). Faith plus anything is no faith at all. Jesus said faith in Him alone for salvation.

You do not need baptism to be saved, or any of the "seven" sacraments. There are only TWO NT Sacraments btw.

Which makes Protestants reformers of a Church with a false Gospel of works.

Which means nearly all of Christianity is false.

Do you guys think these things out?

You mean as opposed to the guy who found Golden Plates no one else saw,and lo and behold, he found out God really wanted him to marry a harem of 14 year old girls.

No. Everything that you have, comes from the Catholic church. You forget the councils.

You really shouldn't lie. But for some reason I doubt that's going to stop you.

The canon of the NT was not formed by the decision of any Church council. The Council of Carthage (397 A.D.) listed as canonical “only those books that were generally regarded by the consensus of use as properly a canon.”

In other words, it didn’t create the canon.
Rather, it confirmed the identity of the canon which already existed.
