The Republican Party Cuts Off Trump’s Cash And Leaves Their Nominee To Wither And Die

So what's a conservative newspaper, The Moonie Times?

None of those running for the nomination had a chance of winning the election.

The republican party went to shit in 2008, they refused to acknowledge that and rebuild and modernize their platform and educate their base.

They knew they couldn't win without the far right extremists, but rather than educate the hateful white trash the RNC pandered to them, sacrificing their centrist and right-leaning voters.

Idiots.

The party's gone now. Between the retard Palin, and the creep Trump, and their Alt Right base, NOBODY will ever trust or vote for a republican again.

Translation ~ you are a dumb bitch

Looks like the RNC is more honorable than the dnc? Is that the point of the moron op?

Hey OP, how much money have you spent on carbon credits that were apparently suppose to prevent hurricanes from forming?

Fucking moron

So now you believe that Trump should be dumped and left to lose? Interesting.

I'm not going to bother with the latest of a billion hit pieces but Trump has been raising money for the GOP and they've been sharing it. The GOP is now focusing on the other candidates in the races. At this point you are either supporting Trump or you are not.

The Republican Party just slit its own wrists then stepped into a warm bath.

Thus debacle is on the Republican Party and nobody else. Since 2008, Conservatives have told the GOP.... "Run a Conservative or expect to lose the White House." In 2008 and 2012 the party did everything possible to ensure that couldn't happen. Now in 2016, the party members had become so disillusioned with the establishment liberal mentality of the party that anything other than an Establishment candidate was going to be preferential.

The Republican Party still failed to even look for a Conservative candidate. Instead they brought forth a cornucopia of Establishment fakers and liars with a smattering of outsiders who were no more Conservative than their other candidates. Then Trump appeared.

Trump's draw has largely been that he isn't another Republican bullshit machine spewing the same crap we've heard for decades. The Republican party could have squashed him instantly with an Now Establishment CONSERVATIVE candidate, but that wouldn't have made the party leaders happy.

Now they will be forced to go down with the ship that they steered directly into the iceberg. Good for them.

JoeB, actually and as usual, is over optimistic.

With the former RNC money to Trump now going to down ballot candidates with the msg "hold the Senate against HRC's scotus nominations," the chances for a blue Senate decreases.

Time Hillary's unpopularity to scotus nominations, and the blue senate majority hope recedes.

Not really. The point is, you don't lose on a massive scale and then have the downticket unscathed.

You should be happy. Most of the people who are going to get voted out are Teabaggers...

See? Trump is headed under the bus, by the same bandwagon riders who put him on the ticket.

No. The Republican Party is going under the bus because they have failed to listen to their voters for almost a decade.

I've got no issue at all with what Trump said. If I had intended to vote for him in the first place, I still would. He's just not Conservative enough for my tastes.

Trump isn't a conservative. He's not a libertarian. He's not Christian.

But the Conservative movement clung on to him because he expresses your anger at being on the wrong side of history.

Trump isn't a cconservative......

But the Conservative movement clung on to him because he expresses your anger at being on the wrong side of history.

No. Conservatives like myself walked away. However, the large portion of the Republican voters who didn't want another Establishment candidate clung to him as a means to punish the party for ignoring them three Presidential Elections in a row.

The problem is they don't "ignore" you. They indulge you. They pander to your stupidity every year, no matter how much it turns people off.

2000 McCain could have beaten Obama. Unfortunately, we got 2008 McCain, who pandered to you guys on the nutty JesusLand Right.

LOL. You think McCain pondered to Conservatives? That's laughable. See you can't pander to us when your voting record already shows you're a Socialist sack of shit, like both he and Mr. Romney were. It definitely doesn't help when you then go and add a WOMAN as your VP candidate to supposedly help get CONSERVATIVE (aka Misogynist) votes

actually, picking Caribou Barbie was part of his awful pandering. The problem is she was as stupid as the rest of you.

JoeB, blathering from the far left, and Anathema, blathering from the far right, have no idea what is going to happen.

I do.

The GOP is going to throw its money time and efforts into keeping the Senate, which I believe will happen.

Nope. This is going to be an epic collapse.

True dat.
Advertising won't help Trump at this point - he is what he is and everyone knows it - but they could make an impact downstream.

The Senate is lost. The House majority will be greatly reduced as well. Republicans will have zero.power.
