The US is on fire

NATURE GONE WILD! Winds, Fires, Floods and Earthquakes

With four big hurricanes, a powerful earthquake and wildfires, it seems that nature recently has just gone nuts. Some of these disasters, like Friday’s earthquake in Mexico, are natural. Others may end up having a mix of natural and man-made ingredients after scientists examine them. We also always tend to

look for patterns and order in chaos, even when they aren’t there, psychologists say. “Nature’s gone crazy,” mused Jeff Masters, meteorology director at the private service Weather Underground. “Welcome to the future. Extreme weather like this is going to be occurring simultaneously more often because of global warming.” READ MORE

and when one of them hit your neck of the woods, oh we'll see how funny it is then LMAO.
Know what I am waiting for? A big assed hurricane like Irma to show up...drumroll...in the pacific and heading straight to LA or SF or somewhere in between. That should be an eye opener how Mother Nature is fed up.

Does Cali get what we like to call the 'Pineapple Express'???

Add in some high winds and it's about the closest to a hurricane you can get here in the west.
Yep. We call it The Santa Ana's mostly but Pineapple Express is used too.

Lots of hang gliding going on on the central coast, lol. But, it sucks trying to fight a fire of which there are many.

I just think Lewgie is still pissed off at Dale. It's making him edgy and has to take it out on someone else. :dunno:

You keep thinking that.

I'm not talking about technicalities. Do you have any idea how big CANADA is?
Still doing it, and still proving me right. You're the gift that keeps on giving.

Sorry you don't understand fake journalism... but when someone writes an article where they mention Canada as being on fire along with U.S. states, they are just trying to incite panic. Canada is almost the same size of the entire United States. Now if the article said as an aside that PARTS of Canada had forest fires like the ones in the United States it would be ok... but that isn't what the article is saying, and because of that, it ruins the reputation of the article as a whole.
Oh, I understand fake journalism. It's the norm for CNN, MSNBC, PBS, etc. But Canada is not what this thread is about. Canada is simply the diversion you were looking for to try to change the subject. And guess what? Yep, you proved my point once again. But keep doubling down, I like when you guys hold on to your losing strategies.

Nope, when an author makes an outrageous comment in order to try and strengthen the shock value of the article, they ruin the entire article and lose credibility.
Except the Canada part wasn't the main part of the comment. Once again, it was YOU who chose to make it the topic when it wasn't.
She added canada because with montana and wyoming and calif and oregon and washington and nevada and arizona all on fire..of course one word like CANADA got mixed in there. Find a tall tree and a rope and hang her for one little error. Jeez.

But isn't the 'Santa Ana' mostly about winds? Or does it include the rain as well?

No. Winds. We still used Santa Ana anyway. When it is a strong rainstorm with hard winds...we might toss in Pineapple Express. :D

Oh, I was right! Its mindwars, not Dale as OP.

Anyway..lewdog is nitpicking. Most here got the drift.

I just think Lewgie is still pissed off at Dale. It's making him edgy and has to take it out on someone else. :dunno:
Dale? I thought the OP was started by MindWars? I have Dale on iggie..so my bad.

'Issues' from different threads

I could careless about Dale. I don't take this shit seriously as some of the people here... like the ones that threaten to drive to someone's house to fight. :lmao:

Then chill ooooouuutt :rolleyes-41:

Would you feel better about this thread if it said 'the North American Continent was on fire'?

^ which proves you do take it seriously, why else bring it up?
You are starting to dave about this, lewdog.

I didn't bring it up.... you and the other poster did. :lmao:
oy. I didn't bring up a damn thing.
Go ahead. Dave some more. Soon you will be in Sonnyville and you do NOT want that. But go ahead. Do it. See for yourself.

The whole premise of the article is silly. It states the U.S. is on fire... when how many of the states are? It says Canada is on fire... how many provinces in Canada has fires right now?

I didn't even see what the other poster had said... but then I saw it when YOU replied to them and mentioned it as well.

Lord have mercy, you are making this so difficult. Do you need me to show your post where you mentioned Dale before I even said anything?
