If its anti terror then why didn't he ban Saudi Arabia ? Or Pakistan ? Its a bullshit order , that's what it is.

There's a freaking war going on in Syria where people are getting killed from ISIS or Assad. But we need to ban the suffering. America refused entry to holocaust victims in the 30s. Anne Frank's family was refused entry into the US due to "extreme vetting". Just let that marinate in your mind for a minute.

Iraqis who have fought along side Americans are now being refused entry. Just helping American troops put their lives in danger and now they can't go to America for safety.

Families are torn apart now because if this bullshit order. My fiancé 's family is originally from Iran. Some of his relatives still have Iranian passports and now they can't come and visit each other. Because US banned Iranians and Iran banned Americans. Its already difficult in those banned countries to obtain a US visa anyway. The vetting process is very thorough. Especially in Iran. There was no need for a ban.

The countries he cited were the ones the Obama administration had designated as particular threats of exporting terrorism based on the intel at the time. If the intel services designate SA as a great threat f exporting terrorism to the US, no doubt it will be added to the list, but SA needs the US now more than ever so it is a good bet that government will fully cooperate in preventing terrorists to travel to the US.

Terrorists recruit with a lot of methods , most of them outright lies. The fact that these people are willing to literally die for the cause should tell you that a travel or immigration ban is not a key recruitment tool. That is simply asinine. Further, the actions of the US as a main recruitment tool is silly on its face considering that we are NOT the primary targets for these extremist groups - Muslims that are not extremists are.


We should not define our actions out of the fear that they may or may not be used as recruiting tools. Our actions should be defined by the most effective methods in combating terrorism.
