Christian conservatives are anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage. They have been staunchly so pretty much since as far back as anyone can remember.

But, the country over the decades has become more pro-choice and more pro-gay marriage.

That means the American center on those issues has moved farther and farther away from the Christian conservative view,
