There will be more: Chilling 911 call after Chelsea explosion

What's going on here?

Now these two don't see it the same way....unbelievable! :cuckoo:

De Blasio refuses to join Cuomo in calling Chelsea blast ‘terrorism’ | New York Post

I agree. Bombing innocent people is terrorism, IMHO. The whole press conference was weird, with the mayors refusal to use the word terrorism.
Three explosive devices were found in one day - explosive devices kill, maim and TERRORISE people. The whole thing is odd, I'm not convinced it's Islamic terrorism, we will have to wait and see, but it is terrorism. Also, considering there are hundreds of Islamic terrorist groups, and not all 'international' terrorists attack in the name of Isis, it's as though they are obfuscating by always referring to a lack of a clear link to Isis. We suffer this nonsense in Europe too.

DiBlasio is a blowhard and weak link in an already weakened NYC society. He does not want to offend anyone.

He will never tell the truth if it will offend a flea.

"We caused you pain inside your house" one ISIS supporter bragged online.

but still....de Blasio says no terrorism. Move along, move along....nothing to see here.

former FBI agent Manny Gomez says:

‘It definitely seems like an improvised device that ISIS is putting out in their websites and how to make a bomb in your kitchen type of situation — some wires, putting nails in it, screws in it…gasoline and you have a bomb.

However, he didn’t stop there…. he also said that this bomb and the bomb from the Boston Marathon are actually very similar.<<

And all used flip phones, including the NJ one.

One might remember the Oklahoma City blast. That act of terrorism was done by one of our home grown "Conservative" terrorists. And act the New York explosion is an act of terrorism, no matter who created and planted the device.

Ayran army anarchists who had been involved in some 32 bank robberies and not supporters of the US government

A caller who didn't identify himself told the 911 operator to expect more explosions, he also said 'I’m looking at the explosion down the block,' the caller said. 'There will be more.'

How can De Blasio say this is not terror is beyond me.

911 caller 'threatened more explosions immediately after NY blast'

It's all mental illness and the fault of The Slave Trade and what about The Crusades and if anyone says that it might be Islamic, well Islam has nothing to do with terrorism :uhoh3:

It's all probably The Amish anyhow :rolleyes-41:

If all you do is say bombing by some individual police devote minimal resources and the data base of the FBI/Homeland are no tapped.
Terrorism, especially across several states get everyone involved in a more urgent way.
Terrorism, from where ever is what these attacks were. Categorizing it as just some crime will not catch those involved or coordinate between states.

New York bombs 'were both shrapnel pressure cooker devices'
Mon, 19 Sep 2016 - The bomb that exploded in New York on Saturday and another device found nearby were both shrapnel-filled pressure cookers, reports say.
Citing top law enforcement officials, the New York Times said the two devices used flip phones and Christmas lights designed to trigger the explosive. The blast, in the Chelsea area of Manhattan, injured 29 people. Officials call it a terror act, but no motive or suspect has been identified. The second device was found four blocks from the site of the explosion and was removed safely. New York governor Andrew Cuomo said it appeared to be "similar in design" to the exploded device. Both were different from a pipe bomb that detonated earlier on Saturday on the route of a charity race in New Jersey, Mr Cuomo added. That explosion caused no injuries. The unexploded second device was destroyed by police in a controlled explosion late on Sunday. No group has said it carried out the attack.

New York Mayor Mayor Bill de Blasio said: "Was it a political motivation? A personal motivation? We do not know." "We know there was a bombing. We know it's a very serious incident. But we have a lot more work to do to be able to say what kind of motivation was behind this. "All possible theories of what's happened here and how it connects will be looked at but we have no specific evidence at this point in time." Mr Cuomo said: "Whoever placed these bombs - we will find them and they will be brought to justice." Some 1,000 extra security personnel are being deployed to New York's transport hubs, police said.

Windows blown out

The Chelsea explosion occurred at about 21:00 (01:00 GMT on Sunday) on West 23rd St. The force of the blast blew out windows and could be heard several blocks away. Some reports said the bomb went off in a black metal construction toolbox, others that it was in a rubbish bin. Police refused to give many more details on Sunday, although New York Police Commissioner James O'Neill said that "components indicative of an IED" (improvised explosive device) had been found. Chelsea is among the most fashionable districts of Manhattan and its bars and restaurants are usually crowded at the weekend. On Tuesday President Obama and other world leaders are due to attend the UN General Assembly in New York.

Mr de Blasio said there would be a "bigger than ever" police presence in New York in the coming week. In the Boston Marathon bombing in April 2013, two pressure-cooker bombs packed with shrapnel exploded near the finish line, killing three spectators and injuring about 280. A police officer was killed during the operation to catch suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, two brothers believed to have converted to radical Islamists. Tamerlan Tsarnaev died in a shoot-out.
