Privatization in economic aspects is actually a good thing, but what happens when it turns for the worst and is allowed to run rampant?

Well, things like this happen.

The CEO of Nestle declares water "food that should be privatized, and not a human right".
What does that mean? You are forced to cough up for taking a sip of any water, because it's not a human right to consume liquids and food in order to survive.
Possible scenarios could lead to jail time for people sneaking a sip without paying up.
Or with how they could lobby the law, mandatory death.

Another example is how the private sector has lobbied to make exposing animal abuse and lawbreaking done by farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, etc a felony and illegal.
These laws exist in certain states, called the "ag-gag" bill.

So it's an attempt (which has been successful in some states)to make whistleblowing illegal.

If you think that it's not a big deal and that these private companies should do whatever the hell they want, then watch these videos. (Graphic content, of course. And, no. I'm not trying to make you vegan. I'm a meat eater, too.)

This is all because of an unregulated private industry. Hell, you can do great just by lightly regulating it with simple rules and ENFORCING those rules. But corporate rights need to be taken away. Lobbying rights need to be taken away. Lobbying in any way, shape, or form needs to be made illegal and penalized by perjury.
Only allow businesses conduct business within the law, nothing else. That is how privatization is a good thing.

People give their opinions when you have "unregulated privatization?"

Seriously though, if food and water are "rights," then why do we pay for food? Why is food private property? You're making a big deal about water but not food.

You're right, we'd be much better off in a country like Cuba where the government provides food freely to everyone.

How's the weather in North Korea like?

We also pay for water. It says so right there on my utility bill.

That too.

So if food and water are rights, why aren't they supplied to us for free? Or is that what nitroz is saying, that they ought to be supplied for free?

My water is privatized.

I own the land my well is on, I paid to have the well drilled and I pay for its upkeep.

And BTW the water from my well is much better than town water.
