So the point was to take high pollution cars off the street, and replace them with cleaner, more fuel efficient vehicles. As for the engines, 426 hemi's, 427 bowties, 428 cobrajets, boss 429's, 440 6 packs, 454's et al, were not turned into anchors.

I hope you're being facetious. The vouchers were for either $3,500 or $4,500 thus taking millions of decent, nice affordable cars off the road and away from used car buyers.

There is not a person alive who can explain how destroying billions of dollars of wealth is a great idea.

Nope, not everyone knows it you only believe it because you want to emulate someone or people whom are not democrats. So you try and steal history.

Just as back in 1865 the democrats supported slavery because they wanted cheap labor, they use the same argument today to support their illegal immigration, slavery, policies.
