theDoctorisIn admits that Republicans are more motivated to vote than Democrats, but fails to admit that the reason is because Democrats are losers who can't be bothered to get off the couch and vote if there is even the slightest amount of effort required.

Blackrook admits that Republican ideas are generally rejected by a majority of the public, but takes comfort from the fact that Republicans are more "motivated", even though they're a minority.

Mm, your "yeah but you too, is a tacit admission his point was correct.

Mm, your "yeah but you too, is a tacit admission his point was correct.

Truth is a matter of perspective.

There are many reasons why Democrats are less likely to actually go to the polls.

Republicans win when less people vote because most people disagree with you.

That's why you guys work so hard to prevent people from voting.

That only makes sense is people your people stop voting far easier.

Otherwise the same proportions would show up and vote.

This is a pretty simple concept.

It's a demographic issue.

A much larger percentage of Republican voters are old. Old people are always more likely to vote.

How much larger?

10 points or so.

Just on the young side, which is mostly a reflection of race.

Older people are pretty evenly split.

Republicans have a 10 point advantage in retired people. That's not an "even split".

And you just tacitly agreed with blackrook on the matter.

Because the Democrats appeal to people who are losers in the game of life. That's why.

Oh, I thought the topic was "old" now it's retired?

Still if, 10 old republicans get to the polls, that means that 9 old democrats get to the polls.

Not exactly breathtaking.

catastrophe if nj goes christian - democrats just do not know how to go lowlife in the south ... taking virginia would be a good omen for the future with a demo victory.

Truth is a matter of perspective.

There are many reasons why Democrats are less likely to actually go to the polls.

Laziness is the most prevalent reason.

No, that's just the reason that makes you feel best about yourself.

Which is, of course, why you believe it.

That's what you lefties said before the election.

How did that work out for you?

People who can't bother to vote don't count for shit in this real world where only people who vote count.
Burning down cities doesn't count?

You apparently don't understand the post election reaction to this failed administration.

Virginia has Ben a reliable red state and that will be tested tonight.

Which candidate ran racist ad about sanctuary cites which don't exist in the state?

Just for clarity instead of fake news.

NOthing about my personal belief systems that stops me from returning anger and hatred to people that give it to me first.

Your assumption otherwise is not my problem.

So you don't believe in the words of Jesus?
What words?
Be precise.

The Sermon on the Mount.
Jesus was as nasty during that sermon as he was anywhere else he quoted.

What did Jesus mean when He instructed us to turn the other cheek?

From the same article. That was a good one. There are also lessons on being angery. Matter of fact, jesus even for angry. Then the “eye for an eye” thing. Whatever. Good stuff.

To "turn the other cheek," does not imply pacifism, nor does it mean we place ourselves or others in mortal danger. Like the principle of the eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth in Matthew 5:38, turning the other cheek refers to personal retaliation, not criminal offenses or acts of military aggression.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
