Trump blows out the competition in N.Y.

Every wiseguy, mafioso, gangster, thug, untouchable, etc. in New York got out the vote.

They made several people offers they couldn't refuse. :blues:

Trump, following next weeks NE primaries has to focus on four states: Indiana, New Mexico, California, and Washington. New Jersey and Oregon look to be pretty much in his win column already and Nebraska, Montana, and South Dakota are going to go Cruz, and are not needed. But if Trump trounces Cruz in the NE primaries next week like he took New York last night, the Cruz camp should be hugely demoralized and ready to steal some more delegates.

Don't you mean "the Cruz camp should be YUGELY demoralized?"

:eek-52: :lmao: :thanks:

Trump won his home state big Kasich won Ohio big Cruz won Texas big it's big deal when a candidate doesn't win their home state not when they do.

Compare the Cruz win in Texas and how many delegates Trump took there, to what Trump and Cruz did in New York.

It is certainly indicative of the relative marketability of each candidate. Trump is a good sell in Texas and New York, while Cruz suffers East of the Mississippi other than Maine.

There was larger field of candidates during the Texas primary to contend with plus Cruz got more votes in the Texas primary than Trump in New York according to the news Hillary and Sanders also got more votes in New York which makes one wonder could Trump win New York in the general election.

Excuses.

Anti-Trump advertising seems to be actually helping Trump.

How Anti-Trump Ads Could Win Trump the Nomination

And GOP intellectuals, always arguing the problems of the last century, and undermining the GOP itself..

How GOP Intellectuals’ Feud With the Base Is Remaking U.S. Politics

"The worldview articulated by Reagan and his intellectuals was essentially this: Government was more of a problem than a solution; the Soviet Union was a danger that needed to be confronted; traditional values should be upheld; taxes and regulations should be reduced. The worldview adhered to the philosophy of “fusionism”—a creation of Frank Meyer, who argued in the National Review, that different strands of conservative thinking, from the traditionalist to the libertarian, could come together in the service of a single goal: defeating communism. The singular vision appealed both to conservative intellectuals and to blue collar workers that Reagan was courting for votes—and united them. It was a formidable coalition."

It's too bad this has been lost. . . . .
