Macron called for sanctions on any EU nation not accepting Refugees.

And Macron said he must guard against Russia, China and the US, not an unreasonable idea. We don't know what's ahead...there's talk Russia and China are getting cozy and we are tossing punishing tariffs against China which they will not take without a response. Tensions are jacking up..all Europe should go self-reliant.

Has anything about NK changed? Are they dumping nukes? Dismantling? But you are right in that Trump threatened with his 'bigger button' and even tho Un hasn't moved an iota from pre-threat days, Trump sits at the resolute desk and crows some kind of victory...and I guess we should be grateful he's just a blowhard and not one who acts on his threats.

As for Europe...who knows what sets off hostilities to the point of war? Who figured the death of some Duke in Serbia would set off such a slaughter? All I know is that tightening tensions and egotist rants do not encourage warm feelings of trust and friendship, and Europe has had every reason since 2016 to think the US does NOT have its back.

John, it may have been possible to repair the damage Trump has done except for one thing. He is supported by a compliant Senate and base...and they are louder than they are actually numbered.
