Trump Lied?

Two months before the FBI raid, Feds saw the boxes at Mar-A-Lago in a secure area and told Trump to put an extra lock on it.
They did see the boxes, but Trump's lawyers swore that the entire premises had been thoroughly searched and every document had been turned over. The FBI was prohibited from looking through the boxes the first time.
Trump let them do whatever they wanted the first time.
This is emphatically not true. Although they let them see the closet, they were not allowed to look through them.

Instead, Trump and his lawyers lied about complying with the subpoena.

His hubris brought him down. Not the Democrats, not Biden. He did it to himself.
Trumps own lawyer told Trump what would happen if he didn't fully comply with the subpoena.

Now the talking point it the raid was a complete surprise.

Except to Trumps own lawyer who warned Trump in advance.

What you omit is Trumps own lawyer warned him they would come back with a search warrant if he didn't fully obey.

Trump didn't fully obey, as was obvious from the secuirty camera footage, and they executed a search warrant, like Trumps lawyer warned him would happen.

KARMA.
They asked Trump to put an extra lock on the door which he did.

Nonsense, Trump let them have the run of the place. He was fully cooperative. Remember too, this is the same FBI that LIED about the veracity of the Dossier to a FISA court!!! This is the same FBI whose agents (Strzok and Page) discussed an 'insurance policy' if Hillary were losing.

They call the indictment "fake news" and ignore it.
Even the picture of the classified documents found in Trumps office, were "planted" according to Trump, but the security cameras prove otherwise.
waht a joke ,,, Bill Clinton sold military secrets to the Chinese regarding the GE W88 nuke warhead and our Defense satellite crypto control information. This allowed the Chinese to miniaturize their warheads and thus be able to hit deep into the USA. And of course nothing happened to him.

Trump wanted to argue that he could keep presidential records. The Archive told Trump in no uncertain terms that those records, any and all, belonged to the National Archives under the PRA, and that there was no "negotiating" over government property.

What you describe as what the archives told Trump what he could do with his negotiations.
LOL So why did they tell him he was on his own when packing up his office? The knots you tie yourself up in when you stgart making shit up Ratty.

That's because every other president did their job, and pre-separated the records. Two piles, PRA records in one pile, and personal records in the other. That's why Bill Clinton has his personal tape recordings in his sock drawer.
Just keep making shit up Rattty LOL

Lawyer's notes show Trump was warned FBI could search Mar-a-Lago:

Former President Trump was warned by his attorney that the FBI could search Mar-a-Lago if Trump refused to comply with a subpoena for classified documents, according to contemporaneous notes

"We've got a grand jury subpoena and the alternative is if you don't comply with the grand jury subpoena you could be held in contempt," Corcoran recalled telling Trump,

What happens if we just don't respond at all or don't play ball with them?" Trump reportedly asked — a line that appears in the indictment.
"Well, there's a prospect that they could go to a judge and get a search warrant, and that they could arrive here," Corcoran recalled

They didn't.

Did NARA provide archival assistance to the Trump Administration during the transition of records at the end of his administration?

Yes. As explained in NARA’s April 23, 2023, press statement, NARA’s General Counsel sent a letter on February 10, 2023, to the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, clarifying a prior response he had given to the Committee. The letter explained that NARA did send staff members to the White House in the final weeks of the Trump Administration to assist with the move of the physical records (including artifacts), which was similar to the assistance that NARA had provided to the White House during the three previous Presidential transitions.

Trump used to get up at 5am and work tirelessly AND not take a salary. Meanwhile your Village Idiot Biden spends less than 40% of his time at the whitehouse.....while he is out playing golf.
Not my village idiot.

LOL Yes, he recanted when he got back the office and had his ass handed to him. Too funny.

That's a lie. A big, fat lie.

Three FBI agents and a DOJ attorney went to Mar-a-Lago to collect additional material offered by a Trump attorney in response to the subpoena. They were given “a single Redweld envelope, double-wrapped in tape, containing the documents,” according to an Aug. 30 filing.

That envelope, it was later found, contained 38 documents with classification markings, including five documents marked confidential, 16 marked secret and 17 marked top secret.

During the visit, the filing said, “Counsel for the former President offered no explanation as to why boxes of government records, including 38 documents with classification markings, remained at the Premises nearly five months after the production of the Fifteen Boxes and nearly one-and-a-half years after the end of the Administration.”

Trump’s lawyers also told investigators that all of the records that had come from the White House were stored in one location — a Mar-a-Lago storage room. Investigators were permitted to visit the room, but were “explicitly prohibited” from opening or looking inside any of the boxes, they reported, “giving no opportunity for the government to confirm that no documents with classification markings remained.”

The Justice Department was also given a signed certification letter stating that a “diligent search” had been completed and that no documents remained.

They only let the investigators visit one room.

One.

They did not have "the run of the place", liar.

That signed certification letter, by the way, was signed by one of Trump's lawyers. It was a false statement. Trump still had documents which belonged to the government.

Trump lied to his lawyer. Totally set him up to sign a false official statement. That, too, is one of the counts in the indictment.

This is why I keep asking why anyone would be stupid enough to ever work for Trump going forward. His employees and friends invariably end up disbarred, jailed, disgraced, and thrown under the bus.
