The tripling of the debt was never the result of Obama policies. It was 'loss of revenue' due to massive loss of jobs as a result of the Great Bush Recession, the costs of invading and occupying Iraq, the Bush tax cuts on the wealth during wartime, social safety net benefits needed to save people from the atrocious Bush 43 economy. The Obama $800 bn stimulus bill was minuscule compared to all the other obligations that needed payment and nearly half of that stimulus bill was tax cuts for the middle class.
