Nah, they're being used as an embarrassing prop.They're already doing something heroic and worthwhile.I heard today that there are something like 600+ people missing in the wake of the fires in California. It would seem as though our troops that are finished putting up miles and miles of needless barbed wire could be doing something both heroic and worthwhile in California instead of sitting around in tents in South Texas.
And these folks wonder why the Army isn’t meeting its recruitment quotas. Helping the nation was probably a motivating force to join the services…not putting barbed wire on fences and waiting for a bunch of people to stand on the other side.
