Trump speaks to President of Taiwan -- liberal media shits a brick

Donald Trump speaks with Taiwan's President - CNNPolitics.com

It's high time that America's hypocritical policy of "not recognizing" Taiwan come to an end.

Taiwan is a friend and a trading partner. There is no reason Trump shouldn't talk to this independent country's President.

If Communist China doesn't like it, really they can take a long walk off a short pier.
Donald Trump speaking with the Taiwan's president does not imply in any way that the US is formally recognizing Taiwan. Although Trump's action is provocative it is not a problem in itself. However, once he becomes president a formal recognition of Taiwan would mean a break in diplomatic relations with mainline China.

The Peoples Republic of China has a long term policy of refusing to maintain diplomatic relations with any nation that recognizes the Republic of China but does not object to nations conducting economic, cultural, and other such exchanges with Taiwan that do not imply diplomatic relation.

Trump is correct when he says the US sells billions of dollars of Military equipment to Taiwan but his actions clearly show his lack of understanding of both US policy toward China and of how diplomacy works.

Bottom line, Trump needs to get himself a Secretary of State who understands foreign policy and diplomatic relations or he's going get this country in a lot of trouble real fast.

In reality, Jimmah Carter should never have established a 'murky', poorly defined relationship with Taiwan.

Because our relationship with China has been so advantageous to US?

Didn't they lone us money when we went broke?

No.

Perhaps if we do something about the 400 billion a year we are shipping to China, we will become less broke.

Trump's credit score explains why he owe's so much money to foreign countries. Wall Street wouldn't make him any more loans because he was such a high risk:

Trump's Business Credit Score Is 19 Out of a Possible 100

According to Nav, The Trump Organization, Inc.’s business credit score is a 19 out of 100 as of Sept. 23, 2016, which puts it below the national average score by more than 30 points. The Nav report said the score indicates the Trump Organization “is very likely to default on its credit payments” and that “this will make it difficult to get financing.” It puts Trump’s Organization in a “medium-to-high risk” category.

“Derogatory information, including a tax lien, judgement and collection accounts are affecting the Trump Organization’s credit scores,” Detweiler said. Derogatory information can include things like bankruptcies, but Trump’s bankruptcies did not show up on the report — most likely because they were old or for other businesses he is associated with, Detweiler said.

“Payment status is the most important factor when it comes to business credit scores, accounting for approximately 50% or more of the score,” Detweiler said. The Trump Organization’s payment history shows it pays an average of 26 days beyond terms (DBT), compared to the national average of 12 DBT.

Get it, he is not only a deadbeat, but he is a highly risky investment based on his history of bankruptcies, stiffing others, lying and late payment, if any payment at all.

Discussing a resume is for BEFORE someone has a job. We are past that point.

Now we judge him on his results.

You are acting like you are terrified that his results might be good, what with your desperate attempts at pre-smearing.

Cripes we have cordial relations with Saudi Arabia, why not Taiwan. It's ridiculous.

We're the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world, and if China doesn't like how our President conducts himself in foreign affairs, they can take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.
Unfortunately, it is not quite that simple. China's world wide exports are 2.2 trillion dollars. The US accounts for only 18% of China's exports. Although the US is the largest importer of Chinese goods, China has a large export base, exporting to every country on earth. Without the US, China would still be exporting 82%. Although both US and China would suffer from a break in trade relations, the US would suffer far more.

The idea that China can be brought to heel by rhetoric and threats is preposterous. Xi Jinping, serving as president of China and Secretary of the Communist Party can not cow down before America or he will find himself out of a job. A number of the 25 members of the Central Politburo of the Communist Party in China are anti-America who are looking for justification to pull away from America and move closer toward to a cold war environment of the 20th century. Trump just might provide them with that justification.

Donald Trump has to understand that as president he can't voice his personal opinions because as president he speaks for the nation, not as Donald Trump.

Obama can actively engage Cuba but Trump can't talk to the current Taiwanese head of state because the US hasn't since Carter??
Until he's president, he can talk with anyone he wants to without international repercussions. I suspect that Trump sees this as a change in policy toward China or he knows nothing about international diplomacy. Either way, he needs to hire a Secretary of State that actually understands US foreign policy and international diplomacy.

No.

We owe China $1.157 Trillion as of Sept. 2016.

Just FYI: Most of Trumps high risk score is because his business is heavily dependent upon the economy. Casino's, high luxury apartments, golf resorts... So yea when the world goes into a major crash he gets slammed hard in the business credit gut.

Still believe whatever you want.

That said, the company that wrote up the "business credit report" is located in California, here's their "team of experts," just for consideration:

Those ARE his results. I'm confident we already saw the "REAL" Trump. Now the entire nation gets to experience the "REAL" Trump. Based on his history, I can't imagine any sane person would expect anything more than more of the same. He is who he is.

Report: Donald Trump's companies at least $650 million in debt

The newspaper found that holdings by Trump have debt amounting to at least $650 million -- a far cry from the amount ($315 million) filed on the personal financial disclosure forms he gave to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Notably, one of these -- a Manhattan office building which Trump partly owns -- “carries a $950 million loan,” according to the Times. Goldman Sachs and the Bank of China are two of the building’s four lenders.

Report: Trump-Owned Companies Owe at Least $650 Million

Trump holdings have $650M in debt, double the amount he's revealed publicly

His lenders include the Bank of China, a state-owned bank in China, a country he has said is an economic foe of the U.S., The Times noted.

His businesses have at least $650 million in debt, a figure that is double what his federal election filing shows.

He could potentially owe hundreds of millions of dollars to the Bank of China.

I think it shows an excellent grasp of how diplomacy was NOT WORKING.

We gave China everything they wanted and then they gave US shit in return.

China is being served notice that that game is over.
Exactly. And he's showing he knows exactly how to deal with the Chinese, and negotiate from a position of strength. Ya gotta love this guy, he's off to a roaring start.

Donald Trump takes fresh swipe at China - CNNPolitics.com

Trump, in two tweets late Sunday, accused China of keeping its currency artificially low and of military posturing in the South China Sea -- home to a tense territorial dispute.
"Did China ask us if it was OK to devalue their currency (making it hard for our companies to compete), heavily tax our products going into their country (the US doesn't tax them) or to build a massive military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? I don't think so!," Trump said on Twitter.

Which liberal media shit a brick? Can you not give any evidence to help assert your claims of fisting in the OP?

Japan is an economic powerhouse, though in perpetual recession with an aged and aging population, and Taiwan is already no slouch. Do they want a militarized Japan? No, but that ship has pretty much sailed, and it's not like a Japan with the militarized U.S. backing them has stopped them from largely doing what they want in the South China Sea. No reason to suspect Japan will be able to either, and it's not like Taiwan and Japan are allies on the issue. They're unfriendly about it towards each other. And it's not a good bargain to China, obviously, or they would have already done it. The Kims have been a problem for China for a long time now, but that's preferable to China than destabilizing the regime and dealing with the disaster that will inevitably follow.
What I meant was the US could very easily help Taiwan become yet another economic powerhouse like Japan, and therefore a huge competition for China. They were on their way to doing that before the "one China" policy. The Chinese have a leash on Kim Dung Poop and know exactly how to put the brakes on him. They just won't do it because they see him as a counter balance to the US and its allies and competitors like Japan and S. Korea around them.

Trump is using Taiwan to get to the Chinese.
Ah, the businessman at work, already starting shit with a country that own 99.99 of this country's debt. Great move, business idiot that lost a billion dollars in one year.

That you can't see the difference is why Trump is unqualified to be president. Neither of you get it.
Actually Trump is overqualified and exactly what this country needs.
Overly qualified for what? Scaring the shit out of overly gullible ignorant whites? On that we can agree

Because Trump don't know shit about a shit, he is subject to repeating over and over again, shit like this. Its a fucked up shame this country voted in a moron and white people find it okay. We'll lets see how okay this all plays out once in office. As we speak, this pro labor hypocrites family has moved it manufactoring lines to Ethiopia....not America, but still overseas and I posted about it and not one redneck has shit to say about it.

No, they'll probably just invade Taiwan and be done with it.

This is what you stupid people don't get. Taiwan's "Independence" is tolerated as long as the rest of the world recognizes it is still China's property. and, yes, a lot of investment from Taiwan finds its way into the Mainland.

The minute Taiwan tries to declare itself a country, China will invade. And frankly, I'm not willing to send American boys off to die to do that.

The only qualifications to be president are age and being born in this country. We could argue till the cows come home about other qualifications and wouldn't get anywhere, since being 35 years of age and being a natural born citizen are the only qualifications that count.
I agree....however, at some point ya gotta get down to the white meat of a candidate and see what he or she got....in this case, with Trump, you got nothing. The knows 3 things, tweet like a madman on steroids, sue a mf if he don't like what they say about him and talk shit to stupid white people with nothing substantial to say. That's about it.

Thank you, that's the problem we have here. This bullshit about a phone call meaning nothing, is not the issue here. What is important to understand is that the Chinese are not happy about it and is willing to do what is necessary to silence not only Taiwan but the US. Trump is playing with fire and unless he's willing to enlist his prized son's in the military, he needs to follow the rules of diplomacy and act like a mf that's got some fuckin sense. One thing should be noted....the US has never faired well fighting Asians....just sayin
