Someone who has such afflictions cannot tolerate criticism and is in a constant search for approval regardless of the source of such approval.....It can be an ex-KGB thug or a white supremacist...for Trump, an approval has intrinsic rewards. For Trump the greatest fear is that he could be labeled a horrible president, and he constantly seeks reinforcement from sycophants and were they not to deliver quickly and profusely, they would be fired.

Just a theory but it might have something to do with the fact that he uses a lot of inflammatory hyperbole and rhetoric, which on the one hand is a refreshing change from all the politically correct nimrods and on the other goes so far at times to make one wonder whether or not the Donald just isn't happy unless he's doing battle with someone or something.

In any case, he's turning the Executive Branch into a gladiatorial arena which does have a certain appeal from an entertainment standpoint.

When in power Republicans cannot seem to control the urge to overreach and pursue extreme policies that ultimately end up turning off the electorate.
