After 20 years there were tens of thousands who had worked with the US. I’ve heard estimates as high as 70k when family members are added in. Logistically that would be nearly impossible. We certainly should have at least tried to evacuate those in and around the capital though. There are reports now though that the govt was collapsing before Biden announced the withdrawal. We may have just waited too long.I get your point - but it appears to be poor planning to evacuate our Afghan allies and their families. This will all be debated and spun over the coming months - maybe years.
