Trump's Project 2025, the Republican plan to govern America, laid bare!

Tech and education

Under the proposals, pornography would be banned, and tech and telecoms companies that allow access would be shut down.
The document calls for school choice and parental control over schools, and takes aim at what it calls "woke propaganda".
It proposes to eliminate a long list of terms from all laws and federal regulations, including "sexual orientation", "gender equality", "abortion" and "reproductive rights".
Project 2025 aims to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs in schools and government departments as part of what it describes as a wider crackdown on "woke" ideology.

I'm already voting for Trump. You don't need to convince me

Project 2025 is Trump's Mein Kampf.
That's the stupidest thing ever posted on the internet.

Project 2025 proposes that the entire federal bureaucracy, including independent agencies such as the Department of Justice, be placed under direct presidential control - a controversial idea known as "unitary executive theory".

In practice, that would streamline decision-making, allowing the president to directly implement policies in a number of areas.

The proposals also call for eliminating job protections for thousands of government employees, who could then be replaced by political appointees.

The document labels the FBI a "bloated, arrogant, increasingly lawless organization". It calls for drastic overhauls of this and several other federal agencies, as well as the complete elimination of the Department of Education.
It is. The FBI has been rotten for decades. The department of education has no reason to exist.

Yeah but how much of that could be done without Congress?

Why shouldn’t we have a Dept of Education to share information and programs between states and provide funding to struggling districts?

Why do you hate Education?

Republicans only turned on the FBI when they started to investigate Republicans
The FBI is the most effective law enforcement agency in the world

Because our standing in the world for our students has gone down ever since it was created and just keeps getting worse.

Clearly there is no benefit for the cost.

What do those countries have that we don’t have?
A nationwide management of its education rather than the hodge pudge of tens of thousands of small districts operating on their own and individually funded

Wait...so your stance is that the Dept of Ed has failed due to not having enough power, and if we give it total control than it will suddenly do better?

Our Education system sucks because it has been run by tiny school districts with state oversight.
The Dept of Education provides limited oversight of school districts.

Some states prioritize education while others provide a bare minimum

Yet, when it was just tiny school districts with state oversight and no Dept of Ed it was far better.

There are people on both sides of the aisle that hold one or two unAmerican views that they have the moral authority to not only judge but control other people's choices on things.

But there is a practical aspect too and a moral, just society has to consider it.

Gay marriage is not a traditional, historical, Biblical, or other religious definition of marriage that has ALWAYS defined marriage as a legal union between a man and woman. It was not until gay people started demanding not only equal rights but the same definitions, terminology, etc. as everybody else that we started running into problems. They were not satisfied with a same sex union with the same necessary benefits as marriage but defined differently. They wanted the WORD! And thereby changed it into something it has never been and was never intended to be and weakened the protections it once afforded to both adults and children.

As for abortion the issue is not whether a woman has the right to choose for her own body but whether she has a moral and/or legal responsibility for a human life developing in her womb. In that case it is not just her life that is important to those who believe ALL life is to be protected.

Are children to be protected and defended by a moral society until they are of an age they can protect and defend themselves? Those who believe that will push back hard on those who think they have the right to do life changing and irreversible surgery on children or pump them full of dangerous blockers and hormones, most especially when they do it without knowledge and/or consent of the parents. Some even think children should be take away from parents who won't agree to transgender their kids.

No simple answers to these things when people are so firm in their beliefs on both sides. But a moral society will work out what that society can accept as just, moral, ethical, reasonable, profitable etc.

Dictators demand their their opinion is the only one that counts.

Yes Children should be protected and defended by a moral society. After 24 weeks

Arizona certifies abortion-rights initiative for the November ballot

Arizona's secretary of state's office announced that the 24-week limit will go up for a vote in the battleground state this year.

And retards can be late term aborted.

No it wasn’t

Dept of Education actually set standards and prohibited discrimination
In the early years of the nation, schooling was haphazard. Many children were excluded on the basis of income, race or ethnicity, gender, geographic location, and other reasons. Early schools were financed from various sources and often charged tuition.

We didn't create the Department of Education, EPA, unions just because we were bored. They were created to fix what was wrong or broken.

Remember Louisiana just voted to put the 10 commandments up in their classrooms. Never mind the fact they are 47th as far as dumbest states.

Trump's Project 2025 is a fascinating document. I will speculate that never in the history of our country has a political party published a complete, thorough playbook of their vision to seize and control our government. I will not say that I've read the complete tome, but I have read the preamble and enough of it's policy statements and methods to realize it's sinister motives. Trump denies any involvement, but you would have to have been on Mars for the last 9 years to believe that.

It reminds one of Hitler's missive, "Mein Kampf," though Project 2025 is much more comprehensive and detailed with its goals.

From foreign relations to the economy, education, government employees, abortion, the general welfare, regulations and much more, if this thing takes effect, we are doomed as a nation.

Along with Trump's stated plan on day one, his re institution of Schedule F, eliminating government civil service workers and replacing them with political appointees, his election to the presidency will doom the nation to a monarchy. His next project will probably be to amend the Constitution to cement his position as leader for the rest of his life.

He has already told his Christian cult members that they won't have to vote again after 2024. Do you think he was just whistling Dixie when he said that? If so, think again.
Trump doesn't sponsor P2025

What didn't happen? Do a search for threads I started. It's in 2016 and has the word Hillary in the title. I said you guys would overturn Roe and you guys said "you're just fear mongering".

You probably don't even know it but I do. Republicans/Supreme Courts ultimate goal is to ban abortion on a federal level. But they can't do it right away. They have to use a few previous cases as precedent to make their case. So they take on lower court cases, and use them as precedent to.....

Already, because of trigger laws put in place before the ruling, abortion is now outlawed in many states automatically or through state action following the decision. In addition, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that certain other landmark rulings should be reconsidered, including established rights to contraception access, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage.

The only alternative to abortion is childbirth, which has a 14 times higher risk of death than that abortion. So, in denying a person access to a wanted abortion, states are forcing people to assume significant medical risk against their will. A recent study out of Colorado ominously predicts a significant rise in the maternal mortality rate, especially among Black women who already experience an unacceptably high rate of death in childbearing.

That didn't happen.

There are circumstances--they are extremely rare but they do exist--when abortion is the moral and/or necessary choice after six weeks. However that developing human being in the womb does not magically change from non human to human at six weeks. None of us make it into the world without going through all the stages of gestation.

A moral society may decide that an arbitrary six weeks is the number or the more common 13 weeks or that it should be left up to the woman and doctor as to whether an abortion is necessary or there should be no law at all. But a moral and just society can have that debate.

There is just no constitutional authority given the federal government to decide it.

That didn't happen.

Well, you're a liar. All the Trump/Bush Judges appointed are Heritage Foundation. They have all pledged to one day pass a federal law making abortion illegal.

You can't read this right off their page and say they don't want to pass a law making abortion a crime. You'd be a liar. And Trump even admitted, women who got abortions would have to be punished.

All children conceived deserve to be born to married mothers and fathers who will love, guide, and protect them throughout their lives, but family breakdown and rampant abortion have torn apart the soul of our country and sapped it of its strength and moral authority. Radical ideologies that deny social and biological truths about sexual embodiment, marriage, and unborn life have poisoned our courts, our culture, and our laws. The Heritage enterprise will mobilize and advance policies at the state and federal levels to restore the nuclear family to the center of American life and reduce both the demand for and availability of abortion at all stages of human development.

Radical ideologies that deny social and biological truths about sexual embodiment, marriage, and unborn life have poisoned our courts, our culture, and our laws.

We will defend the court victory by advancing pro-life legislation in the states and at the federal level and blocking the Democrats’ efforts to enshrine abortion on demand in federal law.

The Heritage enterprise will protect unborn life.

We will advance the Heartbeat Protection Act to prohibit abortion nationwide after the moment a heartbeat can be detected. At the state level, we will work with governors, legislators, and other state-based allies to pass heartbeat laws (or better) on abortion.

We will work to pass legislation in the House to enshrine the conscience protections of the Weldon Amendment permanently in law.

Heritage will promote pro-family welfare reforms that support work and marriage by introducing a comprehensive Heritage family policy proposal with significant and detailed recommendations that lawmakers can use to guide reform efforts.

Heritage provides the knowledge resources to equip lawmakers, activists, and communities with the information they need to protect unborn life and family formation.

STOP LYING FOR THE LORD!!!

It would have been great if we had an honest debate in 2016 about this. Instead, Republicans lied and in 2022 the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade and the country shit it's collective pants.

Even in RED states like Kansas

Voters in Kansas decide to keep abortion legal in the state, rejecting an amendment

Voters in Kansas rejected a proposed state constitutional amendment Tuesday that would have said there was no right to an abortion in the state, according to The Associated Press.

NEVER vote GOP on a state or federal level.
