No. They always look for profit. It's up to government to regulate and support nations that make sense. Capitalist and freedom loving. CEO's have a hand in it, but they are pressured by shareholders.
The first monumental mistake was allowing China into the WTO. That got the ball rolling. There is a great deal that comes from that alone, but governments in the West needed to see what was going on. From illicit poisons being exported into our nations to jobs and industries being taken out, to spying and murder of Western assets. China is an enemy.

On it's best day fox gets around 3 million viewers. On a normal day it's around 2.5 million.
The rest of us didn't watch it and up until now, I didn't even know it was going to happen.
Even if I had known it was going to happen I wouldn't have watched it.

Until Trump, every station would cut in on regular programming for showing special Presidential addresses.
