It is to find out the factors, if any, other than socio-economic status that might cause different effects, such as high crime.

HOWEVER, in the case of correcting for socio-economic status this study, HIDES the fact that in reality, more blacks equals more crime.

Because in reality, blacks and whites do NOT have the same socio-economic status.
