Once they are married and here in US, they can get the same 16k per year of loans and 6k of grants and scholarships that you can get. they can get half that much money, for attending school half time, while they work full time. For instance, while most 3rd world dentists cannot pass the US dental exam (without several more years of dental schooling) they CAN very quickly get hired as "oral hygenists", making $30 an hour. 60k per year, clearing 40k, They can send half of the 8k per year loan money back to their families, making them heroes in their home country. They can live on 11k of their salary and the remaining 4k. What they do with the other 29k per year is nobody else's biz. So what if they choose to give it to you,hmm? Sure, they will not do so after 5 years are passed and they are US citizens, but hey, if you can't make 145k into something that will support you, you're one very sad sack of it.
