A poor family might receive free housing, education, healthcare, foodstamps, disability and many other entitlements from the government. Plus, they get state of the art technical goods like phones, cat scans, plazma TVs, cars etc., etc.
In reality, it all comes from the top 1% or so who invent everything and then share it with all of us through the beauty of "flood down" of Republican capitalism.
