Universal Healthcare - will not work in the US

Many of the 40% you speak of don't pay taxes at all, don't work or pay very little tax because of their low income. It is isn't about keeping what they worked for, that is what the Republicans want. Democrats want to take what others have worked for and "redistribute" it to those that didn't earn it.

Again, if the distribution were fair to start with, there would be no need to redistribute it.

Most of the 40% have jobs... but they have low income because the rich exploit them.

The One Percent have 43% of the wealth... They did NOT do 43% of the work.

Now, my idea of "Fair" would be to take everything the rich have and then harvest them for transplant organs... but that would be harsh...

Of course the bottom 20% are fine with wealth distrubution. It is human nature to be envious. They support the government stealing from others to give to them. The ole' Robin Hood approach. Move to Europe if this is your philosophy. Stop trying to change the US into Europe. I have no idea why you would willfully choose to emulate countries that are inferior to the US.

Because they aren't inferior. America is the most ignorant, racist, ass-backward country in the world. The only reason why you guys get away with what you do is you convince too many of the bottom 80% that you are RIGHT WITH JAY-A-ZUS, when Trump does to the working class what he did to Stormy Daniels...

Why don't I ever hear you dolts complain about athlete's salaries? Is it because many of them are minorities and that makes it ok? Athletes on a pro football team hold quite a bit of the wealth of the team. Why do they make exponentially more than the guy that keeps them hydrated? They couldn't perform without proper hydration. Could it be because there are many millions of people capable of getting the Gatorade ready and only a handful that can run a 4.3 forty and have 40+ inch vertical leap? You may want to apply that same idea to everyone. There are many people that can sweep the floor at my company but a significantly less number that can do my job so I am paid accordingly. The best of the best at my job makes quite a bit more than me, as they should. Maybe you should concentrate more on being exceptional yourself than complaining about the salaries of those that are.

Like I said, get out of the US if you don't like it. Yes, Europe is inferior. Sorry to wound your soul. I have never met a Democrat who is gung-ho about Europe and swears soccer is the best sport in the world.

Wow, guy, why do you think that's an argument? We aren't talking about overpaid athletes, we are talking about the One Percenters who control the economy and keep working people down.

Thing is, we all know the names of the star athletes... the CEO's who keep making awful decisions... not unless they go to jail.

A guy, a Chimp could probably do your job. The thing I've found in 20 years in the private sector... the guy in the corner office is usually a clueless moron who has no idea what's going on in the company. They all look at their charts and stroke each other while the rest of us get on with it.

Naw, man, we are changing this country... You guys got too greedy.

The big problem is, 70% of young people would vote for a socialist. THat is how bad you guys have shit the bed.

Why aren't we talking about athletes? It is exactly the same thing. Who cares if you know CEO's names or not? I don't care about athletes making big money. That is their right in our society. For consistency sake, you should be against them as well but most of the people on your side of the aisle turn a blind eye to it. Hypocrites much?

I am a guy who develops and innovates for my company and am rewarded for my hard work, dedication and skills. BTW, those who fault management haven't typically been in management. There is a reason some will never get there.

What you fail to understand is that what you push is Socialism. You act as if it is a bad thing and then proceed to support a candidate like Warren, who openly wants to redistribute wealth. That is one of the main tenants of Socialism. 70% of young people support the same crap you do because they are children who have no real-world experience, only what some sandal-wearing professor has told them. Some never grow up. Look in the mirror. I know enough to take what my teenager says with a grain of salt. The ADULT leftists in this country need to wake up before our country is destroyed by adolescents. The problem is, most leftists are emotional adolescents themselves.

  1. Too many people are ingrained with private insurance.
  2. Education is not free. Becoming a doctor is expensive, they want to get paid and pay off potential student loans. Working for the Gov't does not do that.
  3. Private pay provides better care. Even in Europe, the wealthy go that route.
  4. Most logical people (on both sides of the aisle) agree with #1 and #2 and #3.

No, because it isn't important to the Wealth Inequality thing...

Here's the thing. Most athletes aren't making the seven and eight figure contracts. But they DO belong to unions, to make sure that even though they aren't the big name stars, they are getting a fair pay for the few years they are beating the hell out of their bodies.

I've been in supervisory roles, and in the Army I was in leadership roles... No, a lot of managers are really stone cold morons.

Recent experience, the genius managers brought in a bunch of consultants... and the consultants told them the same things the employees have been telling them for years.

Morons.

Yawn, guy. I'm an old man who has worked for scumbags ever since leaving the Army.... It's not so much an issue of "growing up" as it is being "Worn down". the ironic thing is I'm making the best money of my life right now. I'm just too old to really enjoy it. But 27 years of being exploited, lied to and outright cheated by the corner offices of the world, I'm all for redistributing the wealth. If we can kick in a few teeth in the process, I'm totally down with that, too.

People are supporting socialism now not because of what a Sandle-wearing professor told them. They support it because they look at their parents having been ground down by Capitalism, while they themselves are saddled with huge debts to merely get an "Admit One" to the Middle Class (AKA a Bachelor's Degree). They look at this recovery where 93% of the wealth gained went to the One Percent.

The One Percenters will be like the Elites of France and Russia. Wondering why the Angry Mob is screaming for their blood.

Medical bills caused bankruptcies are a hoax, a play the far left perpetrates on folks too lazy to do their own research.

A clue is that Elizabeth Warren participated in one of the most frequently quoted studies. A key to the hoax is the use of the term "play a role". In the Warren "Study" if a bankruptcy filing had more than $1,000.00 in medical bills, it was considered to have been caused by medical bill debt.

Someone, in her study, could have $100,000.00 debt in credit cards, $50,000.00 delinquent car loan, a failed business of $250,000.00 and Socialist Elizabeth Warren would say it was caused by MEDICAL BILLS! A LIE, of course.

The Medical Bankruptcy Myth
Appeared in American Magazine Online

Dranove and Millenson critically analyzed the data from the 2005 edition of the medical bankruptcy study. They found that medical spending was a contributing factor in only 17 percent of U.S. bankruptcies. They also reviewed other research, including studies by the Department of Justice, finding that medical debts accounted for only 12 percent to 13 percent of the total debts among American bankruptcy filers who cited medical debt as one of their reasons for bankruptcy.

Um, no. What caused Greece's problems was that they joined the EU, and the Germans screwed them. That's what happened to Greece. That and they spent far more than what they could afford hosting the 2004 Olympics..

The Olympics had nothing, whatsoever, to do with the current Greek economic crisis.

The Greeks simply spend too much and have far too little income. A major part of their problem is that their system allows for massive tax evasion. Their tax rates got so high, people, in droves, simply quit paying.

Guaranteed Healthcare costs more than a GOP scam system that cut you off if you really need it. Have you heard of expanded medicaid? Costs nothing for the poor or indigent.

Costs nothing?

Who cares? Again, not that anyone believes you, but the fact is, that is just 20% that benefit from the wealth inequality in this country. Eventually, you'll run out of tricks to play on the 80% of who would be fine with wealth redistribution.

Specifically how much has come out of your pocket, your net wealth because of Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos EARNING a net worth of about a quarter of a TRILLION DOLLARS.

Younger and Minority Workers Lead Wage Gains as Expansion Ages
Oct. 17, 2019, 8:59 AM

A tightening labor market with U.S. unemployment rate at a 50-year low is starting to result in higher wages for full-time workers, including younger people and minorities whose pay has lagged.

Median weekly earnings for Americans in the third quarter rose 3.6% to $919, outpacing inflation, the U.S. Labor Department reported Wednesday. Earnings for those aged 25 to 54, in their prime working years, rose by 5%, the fastest rate of growth in recent years.

Record-low black unemployment cheered by black activists

Published 1 month ago on September 9, 2019

“Love him or hate him, this is an incredible economic accomplishment for the President and a tremendous benefit for American blacks,” said Project 21 member Derryck Green.

Along with a reported third straight month of 3.7 percent overall unemployment, the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) August jobs report noted that the overall black unemployment rate fell half-a-percent to 5.5 percent. This is the lowest black unemployment rate ever recorded. BLS began reporting employment statistics by race in 1972. And with overall white unemployment at 3.4 percent, it is also the smallest reported gap between the races ever in terms of joblessness. Until recently, the racial employment disparity between blacks and whites has generally held to a 2-1 margin.

IF, all the CEOs make awful decisions, why aren't all those companies broke?

Most amusing!

You are wildly free-wheeling with "facts" and "statistics" BUT, you never show a reliable source and working link.

Got it!

Medical bills caused bankruptcies are a hoax, a play the far left perpetrates on folks too lazy to do their own research.

This is the real reason most Americans file for bankruptcy

A new study from academic researchers found that 66.5 percent of all bankruptcies were tied to medical issues —either because of high costs for care or time out of work. An estimated 530,000 families turn to bankruptcy each year because of medical issues and bills, the research found.

Sorry, man, back in the Mid-Oughts- I ran up close to $70,000 in medical bills just for two operations and related therapy... for a MINOR problem. Yeah, insurance covered some of that... but what it didn't hit hard.

People shouldn't have to choose between bankruptcy and wellness.
