The Republican dominated Pennsylvania legislature has enacted a law requiring voters to show a valid driver's license before they will be permitted to vote. Guess who this affects most in the two major, Pennsylvanisa cities.

Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are predominately Democratic cities. "If the election were held today, we would have more than 100,000 of our voters who could not vote," said Stephanie Singer, chairwoman of Philadelphia's elections commission. "It's a cynical attempt by the Republican leadership to steal the election. And absolutely it could sway the outcome."

The ACLU is challenging this law - and rightly so.

Illegal's, dead people, and multiple voting by individuals equates to voter suppression? Why not just be honest, it IS voter suppression of illegally cast Democrat Votes. Cry me a river.

Another thread based on BULLSHIT?!? Here George, educate yourself...

What kind of IDs should I bring to the polls in November?

Starting on November 6, you must prove your identity by showing one of the following photo IDs issued by:

The United States government, e.g., a U.S. passport
The Commonwealth of PA, e.g., a driver’s license (NOTE: An expired driver’s license is okay as long as it is within 12 months after the expiration date)
A PA municipality (e.g., city, county, borough, incorporated town) to municipal employees
An accredited PA public or private institution of higher learning, e.g., a student card
A PA care facility, which includes a long‐term care nursing facility, an assisted living residence or a personal care home
U.S. Armed Forces branches or their reserves, including the PA National Guard (NOTE: The ID holder can be a veteran or current member; the expiration date can be indefinite.)

But of course the election isn't today. Therefore residents have 3.5 months to get an ID. Something most Americans posses from the age of 15 or 16

The right to vote is afforded only to US citizens. So, the local government decides to try to confirm that someone is indeed a US citizen and the democrats complain. Why am i not surprised?

why would they make a law to stop a non exsistant crime in which said law would then create a worse problem than what they designed the law to "fix"?

pretending these laws dont keep legal American voters from voting is just fucking lying

when you keep legal Americans from voting they get real fucking pissed off.

you trying to start a civil war?

Sure it is George.
That is why AZ. passed it's law in 2004 voted by both Repubs and Dems in the state legislature and was signed by A Democratic Governor.
Each and every state who has passed these laws has had a rise in numbers of voter registration.

You people think this is some kind of a game and that there will not be repercussions from you cheating people out of their votes to win elections.

There will be repercussions.

this is no longer you dirty little screct.

Fairies and Warlocks vote illegally too....But you have no proof that either of those things are happening

How does is create a worse problem? Voters, assuming they are indeed citizens, have 3.5 months to obtain proper state issued identification if they don't currently have it.

Guess it's too much to ask to some people to actually do something for themselves though.

your own source calls you a liar...

The new law says a proper ID card must be issued by the government or a nursing home, and it must contain a name, photo and expiration date.

A drivers license is just one of the acceptable forms, not the ONLY one.

when occupy is joined by the people you cheated out of their vote and people like me who have been trying for years to get you republicans to stop cheating in elections your LIES about why you back these tacitics will mean even less then they do now.
