Um. They can't do that.

An Arkansas woman who went to pick up the class ring she ordered from Walmart left disappointed, after store officials told her the retailer's new policy barred them from turning the item over -- because it bore an image of the Confederate flag.

Elaine Glidewell told KFSM someone from the store in Fort Smith called her to pick up the ring she'd ordered for her nephew, but when she arrived on Tuesday, a clerk told her she couldn’t have it. The ring had been ordered before Walmart stopped selling items bearing images of the flag, in the wake of controversy that stemmed from a racially-charged shooting in South Carolina.

“I wanted to cry,” Glidewell told KFSM, adding that the store clerk said the ring would be "melted."

.
If she had completely paid for it, it was hers and they had no right. She has every right to have her own property show how stupid she is

She has a case, and both the Right and Left should be against Wal-Mart's action [they don't have to support her, though].

She paid for it. It's hers. I hope she sues.

And again....since when is owning a rebel flag ILLEGAL?

She would have a case, but this is pc land so, 1. no one would represent the "racist", and if someone did, 2. the liberal judges would make Walmart return the "hater's" money and be done with her, while 3. Acorn would have their paid race baiters standing in front of a mic with Rev. Sharptongue, calling for her death.....

Cheap idiocy does not enhance the argument about the historic relevance or the 1st Amendment. I don't believe a word of it.

The order should be honored. The deal was made before Walmart made their stupid rule. Sue for the ring and a million $'s for distress.:eusa_dance:

You might want to shut your hair pie hole you fucken skank.

They'll go straight to the jewelry company and Wal-Mart will lose sales. Considering the number of schools that have the flag on their ring, it will mean a pretty good loss for the company.

In the long run Walmart will gain more customers in segments of the population that are growing, they also know those people have nowhere else to shop as in many southern towns they are the only game

This is lawsuit material. It would be one thing for Walmart to simply stop taking orders for rings with the confederate battle flag. It is another thing to call the customer with the made to order ring ready and waiting for pickup at the store just to tell the customer that she cannot have it when she goes to pick it up.
