If you want an adventure, have some fugu.
I'd eat it in a second at a reputable restaurant.
Problem is there are very few places you can get it in the states and they have to be licensed.

Sounds like someone is hungry for a vacation. Shimonoseki awaits!I'd eat it in a second at a reputable restaurant.

What I wonder is if most people realize that their local Japanese restaurant is owned and operated by Chinese folks.I'm talking about your average American obviously.
They wouldnt be likely to ass up the money at the local crappy Japanese food joint.

You couldn't make it 1/100th of the way across on a vacation. It would be a lifelong journey (and kinda expensive). If I went to Japan that'd be the only reason.
To eat my way across the country....linda like Italy.
Why the only reason? There are lots of other reasons. If I went to Japan that'd be the only reason.

Maybe because you don't have enough evidence/experience yet. Every place in the world has unique and fascinating food/culture/etc......
And to be honest I'm a bigger fan of Italian than Japanese food.

Just ordered it this evening. Good chance I'll get it by Friday evening.
I've always enjoyed it. Very expensive, though.I'd eat it in a second at a reputable restaurant.

Oh, well, I thought that one photo of the wasabi on a board was something you had taken yourself!
That phrase is usually about something more fun than a root...... there's a good chance I'll get it tonight.
