We will get a quick look into Mueller's investigation this week.

Look, quick lesson in how investigations by any authorized legal authority goes:
The suspected crime is money-laundering.
But in the course of conducting the investigation, an internet child porn ring is discovered.
So, gotta press charges for that and continue on with the search for laundered money.
Gettin' it yet?

Opinion | Kurt Bardella: Forget Russia, Donald Trumpā€™s tax returns could be his greatest vulnerability

The New York Times report ,exposing what appears to be massive fraud perpetrated by the Trump family is one of these stories. According to the Times, Trumpā€™s father Fred spearheaded a complicated con using ā€œdubious tax schemesā€ and ā€œinstances of outright fraudā€ to evade hundreds-of-millions of dollars in tax payments to the IRS.

Cheating on your taxes may not seem sexy, but this scandal may very well represent Trumpā€™s greatest vulnerability should Democrats retake control of Congress in November.

Trumps father?? How long ago was this?Decades?? How is he responsible for what his Father supposedly did. Oh and the NY Slimes?? Really.

If there were something to find the IRS would have found it long ago. Trumps companies and he personally have been audited many times if I'm any judge.

Come on Peach you are smarter than this crap.

I'm not agreeing with it.
I'm saying after the fizzle of no collusion, they are going for tax fraud.

Well they can try though I don't know how something his Father did decades ago has anything to do with him right now??

They are saying Trump has learned long ago how to evade taxes starting with his Dad.

Oh I highly doubt he could even if he wanted to. I'm sure he and his companies are audited by the IRS and they look for anything that could be considered tax evasion.

I doubt they can get a look at those tax returns unless Trump releases them. They are going to be pissing up a rope.

Right....nothing burger...

"He may also begin to add context and answers to some of the intriguing clues he has dropped in a probe that has so far seen three people sentenced, one convicted at trial and seven guilty pleas and has charged 36 people and entities with a total of 192 criminal counts.

With each twist of the investigation, a fascinating trove is building of hints and implied connections, odd coincidences and apparent shady links between key players that is crying out for explanation."

The snake pit gets deeper and deeper and I see a tinge of Orange on the horizon...

Mueller is getting closer and closer to the Liar in Chief. The Dems need to call Whitaker in for a public forum in January and find out the relationship between trump and his DOJ stooge.
Keeping grabbing that nothing burger, Jim. With all that's been leaked, and all that has been indicted.....nothing has roots to Trump has been leaked.

Google how Mueller got John Gotti and Manuel Noriega and get back to us.
Hint: He didn't walk in and indict John Gotti as his first suspect.
.
.
.
You do realize that there have been a ton of leaks during this process, right? Not one leak that connects the dots to Trump.
Just a lot of speculating and dreams from the left, that's it.

Yup....leaks from witnesses and trump surrogates.....not from Mueller.

More like Mueller's mules to the msm, don't you mean?

The Dem House is going to make life miserable for the entire trump criminal family....

95% of The Mule's indictments come from actions AFTER people talked to Muellers Gestapo.

Other than the mole trump had placed in the DOJ...nothing should be getting back to the trump team. If Whitaker is carrying water back to the Liar in Chief...he will need to find another job next year.

95% of The Mule's indictments come from actions AFTER people talked to Muellers Gestapo.

Mueller is a Republican whose character is unquestioned. trump is a SO CALLED Republican who cannot sit down for an interview without telling multiple lies.

The sad thing is You know he is a compulsive liar and you don't care....you are placing a C for cult member in your forehead. Poor dumb trump may lose his tiny orange mind by the time this is over....

It should not be a quick look. It should be - by the end of the year - a FULL look.

This has gone on long enough.

I despise Trump - but this investigation should not be allowed to go on indefinitely.

18+ months is long enough. If he cannot get enough 'dirt' on Trump by 2019 - tough...end the investigation and let us all see the evidence.

The Democrats and media are slamming each other in the ass over this Russia investigation, but ultimately Meuller will disappoint them.

I tend to agree.

The whole thing is a giant nothing burger.

And there will be loads of really disappointed lefty loons.
that won't stop them. Mueller will find nothing but the left and the political organisations CNN, MSNBC, NYTimes, and NPR will continue to talk as if its a convicted result.

A CONSPIRACY is a concerted effort by multiple people to plan and execute a CRIME. "Conspiracy" is a crime.

The word, "collusion" is constantly used in "news" reporting about this cluster-fuck because just about ANYTHING can be construed or portrayed as "collusion"...a phone conversation, a meeting, passing on the street and saying "Hello."

Here are a few activities that might constitute "collusion," but are nowhere near a "conspiracy" and are not a CRIME:

A presidential candidate pursuing a business deal in a foreign country while he is actively seeking his party's nomination or to win the election. NOT A CRIME.

A representative of a political campaign seeking legally-purloined private emails to and from a political opponent, with the hope that those emails will prove embarrassing to the opponent. NOT A CRIME.

A representative of a political campaign accepting a meeting with a "foreigner" at which "oppo-research" is dangled as an enticement. NOT A CRIME.

Are you starting to get the picture?

Furthermore, the Mueller team has already said, ON THE RECORD, that they have found no evidence that even a single vote was affected by the totality of the "Russians" efforts in the 2016 election.

Mueller has bupkis.

Period. End of discussion.

At WORST, he will issue a report that, like everything else happening around Trump, the non-Fox Media will try to blow up into a major shit-storm against Trump, although it contains nothing new, interesting, or criminal w/r/t The Donald.

I was wondering about this myself, doesn't there have to be some sufficient reason or evidence to justify the subpoena? You can't just say "we think he lied or cheated", the guy's tax returns are already being audited by the IRS. So Trump can claim Executive Privilege and give the House Dems the middle finger. The Dem can take it to court if they want to, and they will, but ultimately it'll end up before the SCOTUS, who I think will rule in favor of the President.

Politics, it's all politics. One side trying their best to make the other side look bad if nothing else. But Trump can play that game too, and I can see a number of Democrats getting investigated for various reasons, starting with Waters and the Clinton Foundation.

Executive privilege would only cover material that was part of presidential duties. Nevertheless, to get a subpoena, you'd have to show there's a reasonable suspicion a crime occurred and a reasonable suspicion to believe the tax return would provide information relevant to investigating the crime.

Imo Mueller's had the tax returns for months, as well as Deutchbank records of Russian loans, and that is one reason why Cohen was squezzed into revealing more about Trump's biz ties to Russia in seeking a casino in Moscow.

she held that a conspiracy to interfere with U.S. elections can itself be a crime

If Trump got any info he knew or should have known was illegally obtained, that can be a crime.

If Trump got any material support, such as internet research in targeting social media, that can be a crime.

If Trump arguably promised Russia anything for help ... that's a biggy crime.

I don't think impeachment or even an idictemtn of Trump is happening. I think Corsi is very likely going to die in prison, and Stone possibly too. Jr. may be giving up his guns as well.

Nope.
Here's why this court ruling might put an end, once and for all, to a big Republican talking point about Russian 'collusion'
Nice story and from a non partisan website putting it out......oh wait, never mind
she held that a conspiracy to interfere with U.S. elections can itself be a crime

I'm walking away with the word, "IF" etched in my mind.
IF I was 6'8" I would have played basketball?

We know you aren't 6-8,. We don't know what Trump did or didn't do. Yet.
