Weisselberg Indicted

The books were already open.
1) no they weren't. Stop making up nonsense.

2) The charges are that they kept two sets of books

The only way they can figure it out is if the books were open to them.

There is nothing past this, and even this is sketchy with regards to actually getting a conviction.

2 years and this is the best they could come up with?

It makes the relevant officers liable and the criminal part is a stretch since in the past ever since IRS was established the charged offenses were not criminal in nature.
The charged offense is tax fraud. That most certainly has been prosecuted criminally.

Nope, the trumped up charges (lol) are for misreporting one form of compensation, again something that would be handled civilly if it wasn't for the Manhattan DA's Trump vendetta.
Oh Marty, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Read the indictment. There’s a lot more than “misrepresenting one form of compensation”.

It would appear to me that the right wing media you slavishly adhere to isn’t telling you the whole story.

Read it, and to me it's still a disagreement on tax issues, something that again would have been handled civilly or via audit if it wasn't for the Trump name being involved and the Manhattan DA being a partisan hack.

haha yeah that's the desperate dems in Vance's office trying to have their cake and eat it too.

Either they were fringe benefits, that Weisselberg should have claimed as income, or it was compensation from the Trump Org, that the Trump Org didn't properly report as compensation...it can't be both. Moreover, the indictment itself even claims that it was Weisselberg himself that made the directions in the Trump Org to do what is alleged. Not Trump, not the entire Organzation. Holding the entire organization responsible for what they allege he did...just silly.
You seem confused. Vance's office isn't trying to claim it's both. It's just saying that their organization falsified documents in order to reduce Weisselberg's compensation. Trump's organization was part of the conspiracy.

Those documents came from the company, not Weisselberg.
Non confused at all...they are saying Weisselberg falslifed the documents....in order to reduce his compensation....and then saying, well then he also should have claimed value of the fringe benefits....

1) you can't hold the entire organization libel when you claim it was one person
2) either then it was compensation, and he was wrong for messing with the numbers at the organzation level, or it was fringe benefits, and he should have claimed the value. One or the other. How the company labels it really is irrelvant...he should arguably claimed the value, at least of some of those things, as income....
Weisselberg committed his fraud as CFO of Trump’s organization with the assistance of members of the organization. They are not saying that Weisselberg falsified the documents, they’re saying that Trump’s organization did.

Therefore the organization is also criminal.
Sorry...it literally says in the quoted part that it was at his direction...he did it...

Not the entire organization.

Read the actual quoted part. Moreover, Trump had zero to do with it, and isn't mentioned at all
Yes, the entire organization did it since the organization produced the fraudulent documents.
well except the CFO makes the decision on those matters and does not have to consult with the owner or the other officers on his area of responsibility.
Sure i guess....in any rate it was him, not the organization. To convict the entire organzation they must show it was organizational wide

And if you weren’t a partisan hack you wouldn’t be calling it “a disagreement”.

There is no rational way to believe their behavior was anything other than tax fraud. Maybe if they had cooperated with the investigation, they’d have gotten some leniency but that wasn’t the case.

Only to a TDS cuck like you.
You’re the one with your head so far up Trump’s ass you can’t agree that prosecuting tax cheats is the right thing to do.

Your assertion that this should be civil is just repeating the right wing talking points. You don’t think for yourself. You’re a puppet.

The only irrational behavior in this thread is you thinking there is something here that "WILL FINALLY TAKE DOWN TRUMP FUH FUH FUH, I CRAM PINAPPLES UP MY ASS, FUH FUH FUH"

They are asserting an active criminal enterprise, good luck proving that to a jury.

Sure. And the CFO’s employees followed his illegal requests which makes it a criminal organization.
wrong it makes the FO and perhaps any knowledgeable employee culpable not the entire organization and again no connection is made to Trump or any other organization head.
yes...all one has to look at is Arthur Anderson LLP v. United States, where the SCOTUS in a 9-0 ruling overturned the conviction of Arthur Anderson

wrong historically since the beginning of taxes this was a fine and or audit.

Correct, this is completely unprecedented...even the Xiden IRS isn't touching this, and that's who apparently Vance is accusing is owed the most money.
