I know and the starting wage for lawyers is one hundred and forty four thousand...I wanted to be a corporate snake...Not the criminal representative...I did do courses through local colleges while in the army but never much went passed a legal aid status and it was the 1980's and well men weren't supposed to do women's jobs then...

Well, starting salaries depend on what you do. If you go into Big Law, then you can make as much as $200,000 starting salary, at least here in DC.

Big Law is not for me, though.

Look what it cost to live in the surrounding area. I was stationed at Fart Belvoir in 1985 and it was over six hundred a month for an apartment, one room..I didn't even make that much a month in the army...

I pay almost $2,000 a month, for a decently-sized 1 bedroom.

I pay about three hundred and fifty for a three bedroom house on 43 acres with a property tax liability of two hundred and forty dollars a year...
