What exactly have Liberals done for us?

How about being the one's who have and will protect individual rights and personal responsibility. Personally, I want those things protected above any government social program that is in place or will be crammed down our throats by socialist Liberals. Tell me, when was the last time you heard a socialist, liberal Democrat give a speech about freedom and liberty, the two main things this country was founded upon. For me, the last Democrat, forget about socialist and liberal, was JFK in the 1960 election and after he assumed office. I have been around long enough to see how Liberals creep their socialist philosophy into our society and rob us of freedoms we once enjoyed.

What rights, liberties and freedoms have you lost that have impacted your life? I keep hearing this, and I don't get it. The USA Patriot Act scared a lot of people into thinking the sky would be filled with black helicopters all the time and surreptitious people lurking in your back yard, but so far, even under the auspices of THAT controversial act, I know of no one whose life has been dramatically changed even by removing some of your rights to privacy.

Please enlighten us how you are so restrained by this so-called "socialist" philosophy.

Imagine a program that actually allows families and children to EAT. Unlike the Reagan program of dumping surplus cheese on the poor, food stamps provide basic sustenance for those who may go hungry. The US is the richest country in the world. It is sad that some of our citizens still begrudge people a meal at the end of the day. Republicans would prefer children begging in the streets to a food stamp program

It should be noted that conservatives fought against every one of these initiatives

It might interest you to know that Abraham Lincoln was a REPUBLICAN-- In fact all African Americans in this country stood behind the republican party until the 1930's--when they felt they got the end of the stick from Hubert Hoover--they left the republican party & have been democrats ever since.

Created a shitload of problems with the externalities of their socialistic do-gooder nanny state, then acted like bystanders and observers when it all predictably flops, then come riding on the white charger with the "solutions" to the problems they created.....Which in turn merely lead to the creation of a whole set of new problems down the road........
