What famous people you met in real life?

You serious, you got to meet Paul Newman, how did you pull that off.
I met him back in the 70's at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Newman was an avid racer and competed against my uncle.

My cousin and I (I was, maybe, 12, my cousin 8) approached him as he was walking through the paddock area. My little 12 year old brain decided the best question to ask him was "Are you really Paul Newman?" He replied, "No, I'm his twin brother."

He chuckled at our bewildered expressions, put out his hand to shake ours and said "Yes, I'm really Paul Newman."

All I know was that he was really nice to two little kids, and he certainly didn't have to be.

He wouldn't do autographs, though...

I'll dismiss the stupidity of the comment, particularly since it's so far off base as to be laughable...

I worked for his attorney.

I totally forgot that I dated Fred Dyer for awhile. Why is he so forgettable? I met Tommy Lasorda too.
Wow it must have been a thrill for you to brag to everyone you were dating a famous celebrity.
Why would I brag? Everyone I knew already knew all about it. Who would I tell?

I forgot Jack LaLane. He lived in Morro Bay, which was across the bay where I lived. Always ran into him at the grocery store. Nice guy.

Question here is....who gushed when they met their particular celebs? I never did. I 86'd Leslie because not only was he drunk, he was throwing billiard balls when he lost a game and was sloppy falling down nasty with his language.

I think I had the most fun with Chuck. He would pull up next to me, or me to him, then race. LOL

Michael Damian,Loni Anderson,Al Unser Jr.
Oh my god, please tell me your kidding you got to meet Loni? How did you manage to pull that off? Man had I met her as you did I would be frozen motionless unable to talk or move,I was nervous enough as it was meeting John schneider the first time.how long ago did you meet her.? She’s probably not much to look at today, would explain why we don’t see her in anything anymore.when I met Gary sandy I said to him
its a thrill meeting someone who got to touch Loni Anderson. It gift a good laugh from a lot of people but what’s funny is at the time I said it,I was being serious,I wasn’t trying to be funny. :abgg2q.jpg:
I was standing in a snack bar line at Legoland with my kids ordering food/drinks and turned around to see who my kids were talking to (they were 2 and 3 at the time). It was Loni Anderson. Around 2002/2003. She was there with her grandkids. She is a lot smaller ( height and build) than I was expecting. Very nice though.

Johnny Carson, Ed NcMahon, Doc Severinson, Les Paul, Hal Holbrook, Ron Howard

I met Les Paul as well in DC but I was a kid so I don't really recall a lot other than him talking about them trying to use a piece of railroad track when they were working on the electric guitars. Had several random encounters there and in NYC with celebrities. Lord only knows how many times I walked into the shot of people filming TV stand ups in DC. It was so common, I didn't even pay much attention to them.

DC was so much fun for the movie shoots. Just to watch them and then see the movie later on to compare. I swear that several sequences of In The Line of Fire were shot somewhere on Rhode Island Ave. NE, when Eastwood was hanging off of a building and Malkovitch saves him. I worked by Georgetown, so I had a laugh when Kevin Costner, in Navy whites, jumps on the metro from what has to have been the Georgetown Park mall (you could tell by the checkered flooring) in No Way Out, since the metro doesn't go to Georgetown. We used to lunch in Georgetown and would run into George Will, who always kept to himself and dined alone. I was a hostess at Blackie's in the mid 70s, and I did, actually, personally seat Rudolph Nureyev. Fun times.

That reminds me. I have also met Bill Daily ( I dream of Jeannie fame). He lived at the same condo’s as an ex boyfriend. Ran into him several times in the elevators. :)

We did see George Will coming out of Victoria's Secret down on M Street alone carrying a bag one time LOL. The people I were with started gossiping about rumors he had a mistress. I one the other hand, just joked that he was getting himself a push up bra.

I didn't properly meet her but I did get a smile and wave back from Demi Moore as she was zipping through the FBO at Reagan National once. She had gotten off a private jet and was making her way to their ride. I don't think she was filming anything so I assume she was going to the Kennedy Center or something like that.

I physically collided with Connie Chung when neither of us were particularly paying attention to where we were going at the Lincoln Memorial end of the reflecting pool. She is a tiny little thing. I didn't even see her until we bumped into each other.

Met and or saw lots of well known political folks when I was working on the Hill.

I used to live in Boston, and in the 1980s...I met Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish (aka The Big Three) of the Boston Celtics. Also, I met Ray Bourque and Cam Neely from the Bruins. As well, as Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady (before he became a Patriots QB).

Those were the good days!

What exactly makes a person "famous" ?

I was wandering through the Capitol of Idaho in Boise, and I ran right into this fellow in the hallway.
They have nukes in Idaho and they were having some kind of national security discussion, blah, blah, blah.

Most of the time I stay away from famous people. They don't need to know who I am.
