What Geology reveal regarding the FLOOD of Noah's time.

Rising sea levels flooding lower lying valleys many millenia ago could also have created some long lasting
stories. This is a theory that kind of makes sense I think

The Black Sea breech was a slow moving flood.. They had plenty of time to move family and livestock to higher ground.

that depends on which expert you ask

The Gilgamesh story is based on a flood in 2900 BC .. There plenty of evidence for that. the Black Sea Breech is too early .. Flow rates can be measured by scientists.

Disasters Remembered for Millennia

Also, the end of the Ice Age caused massive world-wide flooding when the glaciers melted.

Nope.. The glaciers melted very slowly and as they retreated the Sahara and the Arabian peninsula became MORE arid.

Right, The glaciers melted slowly and the sea level rose, but the theory here is that there was a land bridge between what is now the Black Sea and the Mediterainean which acted as a dam. Once it gave way, a sudden rush of water, could easily have caused something pretty catastrophic to a small population

It took more than a year for the water to rise.. Plenty of time to move people and livestock.

What do we actually discover at Spirit Lake that helps us to understand Noah's FLOOD and much of the types of fossils that we can find today. Here is an appraisal of what occurred and how it undermines some preconceived ideas.

The evidence exists for the FLOOD; however, if that evidence calls into question presently accepted theories, such "anomalies" are shelved and ignored until "such time" the "science" may explain them away in light of presently held theories... Example:

The Song of Gilgamesh has a huge flood in it, ancient Sommer and predates the Bible by over three millennia.

The Euphrates River Basin did flood from time to time caused by spring snowmelt from the Zagros Mountains and spring rains. That's what built the Delta south of Basra.

There is NO worldwide flood footprint.

LittleNipper

Why would you build a giant ship for a local flood, foolish servant of the devil?

They didn't . A king in Sumer used barges to haul grain, beer and livestock down river. In the 4 day flood the barges tore loose and ended up in the Persian Gulf at Bahrain.

Sounds like standard geology to me (what I listened to). What preconceived ideas did it undermine?

It’s just a fun story

There is really nothing funny regarding the story. I believe the asteroid strikes were part of the FLOOD. Tsunami waves were likely horrifically high in areas of the planet. Any other boats or ships that may have existed would be swamped. The Ark designed by GOD and built by Noah, his sons was pretty much built to handle waves and was enclosed. The cute little toy arks are not what the thing looked like. Not a house sitting on a boat.

The scientist undermined the notion of the prettified forests having grown in place. And the theory that coal was a very slow process taking eons to develop. The coal is likely the bark of trees bumping together and it was pealed off and sank forming layers and layers that were than covered over as the FLOOD progressed.

Nonsense...Geology clearly shows that there was never a world wide flood....

There are NO mountains in the Euphrates River Basin. Its very flat. This video is really stupid on its face.

Its a myth borrowed from Sumer.

The Flood only lasted 40 days, has anyone tried to recreate coal using this theory?

Thr absurd, provably false great flood is not even the most absurd, childish part of the bible flood myth.

Interesting footnote and slight distraction here;

When my son was in Iraq~Baghdad with 1st Cav back in April 2004-April 2005, one of the humvee patrols on outskirts of the city, in the farming areas, bumped it's skid plate against what they thought was a large rock. But then big rocks are rather rather in that part of the world. So they dug around it a bit and it was the turret of a Soviet built T-54 tank, buried there in the middle of "no-where". That got the combat engineers probing around and they found about two dozen tanks buried there.

Saddam H. also had buried a lot of combat helicopters and fighter-bombers(Migs) around some of the Iraq airbases as well, which our people kept finding and exhuming. Makes one wonder what else might be buried over there waiting to be found. ???

In the late sixties in the Libyan deserts they kept finding military equipment.. in pretty good shape because it so dry.

There is no evidence for a global flood that took place 4,000 years ago.

Stop the madness.

Actually, evidence of a "global flood" would likely be about 12-15,000 years back when the last glacial covering of the most recent Ice Age existed. And then began to rapidly melt away ....

We checked. Sea levels rose about 120 meters. Over about 13,000 years time. A meter a century. A centimeter a year. No global flood.
