What law(s) would have stopped the Buffalo shooting?

NY gun laws:
Gun laws in New York - Wikipedia
NY has among the strongest gun laws in the US - indeed, NY has ALL the 'common sense' laws - laws, we are told,. will prevent shootings like this.
Obviously, these laws don't work.
So...
What law(s) would have stopped the Buffalo shooting?
What makes you believe this?
How do these law(s) not violate the constitution?
Well, heck then....T's & P's.

Your opinion. I am sure they are a far more competent judge than you.
Fact remains:
Under state and federal law it was perfectly legal for him to buy the gun.
You are literally making a thread about a law you have t read yet?
Oh,. no no no.
YOU claims the law requires (x)
Onus is on YOU to cite the law and provide the text to that effect.
Which you cannot do, because it does not exist.
Yes in order for the law to kick in these were the things that had to happen. It's not easy to have this happen by design. Over a thousand people have been bared from buying or possession firearms in New York under the law.

And why did the red flag law not stop him?
No one took him to court.

Well there you go. Do you think they made a mistake in this case?
I am not a competent judge in these matters - just like you.
Thus, I'll take the professional opinion of those mental health professions over yours.

Well I'd say without a stretch that he was a viable threat. Especially after this shooting. It's not hard to say that on my end.

It sounds like no matter what you don't want this to stopped by such a law to begin with.

Even after he has proven without a shadow of a doubt he was an actual threat to society. You still balk.

You say this with the benefit of hindsight.
Did you interview the shooter? Evaluate him? Judge his behavior against established practical and professional standards?
-They- did. And they did not evaluiate him as a threat.
Thus, -you- opinion doesn't matter.

Sure in order for the law to kick in the mental health professional had to sign off. They didn't and the law didn't kick in.

So there you go.
