What law(s) would have stopped the Buffalo shooting?

Having state gun control laws are useless when you can simply go to another state and get a gun.
And commit a federal felony in doing so.
You need laws to prevent guys like Tucker Carlson from promoting bullshit like “Replacement theory” and all of the hate speech coming out of right wing media.
Ah. You hate free speech.
It’s time for Americans to be told facts, not hate and lies.
If that happens, almost no one will support gun control.

Gun owners continue to believe that all they have to do is get the Gun Grabbing heretics to understand their case, and the Gun Grabbers will stop their march to disarming them.

Pathetic.
And gunners think lunatics won't find the easiest way to get the only tool to do mass murder.

In this case you had a retired police officer pop the dude twice.

Which one this case you had a good guy with a gun and the lunatic won.

Because the medical professions who evaluated did not deem him a threat.
Had they done so, they would have been required by law to report him.
Actually, it was because he was not committed by a Judge. The fact that he was not, is a loop hole And the fact(?) that the medical professionals did not deem him to be a threat(although I would like to see what they actually said and why ) should not be the bottom line when he told people what he would do and exhibited extremely bizarre behavior.

You do realize there are tens of millions of "assault" Fords, Chevys, Toyotas etc readily available to be used to murder even if guns were gone don't you?
But of course, you would rather "Gunners" be helpless victims...knowing full well murderers will always find a way.
The problem has never been guns......the problem remains imbeciles who coddle criminal behavior. The Left has perfected that.

The REAL problem in America is LEFTIST POLICIES that coddle, encourage and foster violence and criminal behavior.
The more control Leftists get, the more violent things will become. That's already self evident. Look at all the Blue controlled areas.
That's where 99.9% of the violence is....gun or no gun.

But why do I waste my time?
You and all gun grabbers don't give a flying fuck about lives.
You only care about making huge, oppressive government omnipotent.

Naw.
We know their objective and we know they will never stop working towards it.
Thus, not one inch.

No not at all. I think legal gun ownership is right. But when a lunatic has a gun nobody is safe.

Where is your honest-to-god solution to this then? How would you solve this crisis without infringing on rights and stopping crimes committed with guns?

You can't can you?

Maybe defunding the police isn't such a good idea. Presumably the LEOs didn't investigate this kid thoroughly enough when he got picked up and evaluated. Why was he cut loose after a couple of days? Was it a legal problem, like how long could they hold him before cutting him loose? Or a funding issue with the state mental health institutions? This kid sounds like somebody that should've been kept longer and investigated further, did they do that?
