What makes arguing with liberals so frustrating #1

Another low paying job cheerleader.

Oh I see your point. But in my eyes, regardless of who wins, not all that much changes. I'm too old to compromise my principles. If Romney wins, will more jobs be created? Maybe, but again, from my point of view, how many of those jobs will be higher paying with good benefits? I dont consider minimum wage jobs as an actual "job"

A GOP run Government will allow free but not fair trade to continue.

The Democrats, because they answer to labor, are bringing jobs back home, or at least trying to. And because they answer to labor, they are the party for higher wages, not lower. We all know Republicans think everyone but them makes too much.

Just remember, Republicans want us all to make less. Government employees, auto workers, right to work states, breaking unions, hiring illegals for jobs Americans won't do, outsourcing, sending jobs overseas, etc.

But no, not much will change. Not with the GOP's tactic of record breaking number of filabusters. Thanks Mitch McConnell. And funny the liberal media doesn't ever talk about this. Most people don't even realize how bad the GOP have acted since Obama took office. I don't know if it is racist though because they didn't treat Clinton much better.

Like Obama, he had to triangulate with the GOP to get anything done. But man did he go along with way too much. Deregulations, nafta, etc.

And because of this triangulation and because money/corporations own our politics, I actually agree with you.

But there is a huge difference between voting GOP and Dem. Two completely different directions. Go back to the Bush way or keep moving forward.

Circular file time with that garbage. But kneepad support is all you seem to offer.

You mean like the way anyone receiving public assistance is a welfare cheat and all union workers are lazy, overpaid slobs?
Conservatives seem to think one must be a conservative or a liberal; many Americans are MODERATE. Thus the term SWING state. Though I was quickly labeled LIBERAL on this board, I voted for McCain 2008, and would like an acceptable alternative to Obama. Conservatives have gone so far to the right, they would call Mussolini a liberal.

It is indeed considered absolutely RADICAL RIGHT WING stuff to think we ought to be bound by the Constitution.

:doubt:
I am flattered to be in the same company of the Founders...I really am and to be called 'extreme radical right wing' to boot is the icing on the cake.

Good stuff!

I think what is happening is the middle class workers are starting to figure out that they are slowly but surely losing ground due to a concerted effort to keep them down. ANd I do not attribute this to only one party. Those with all the money and power want even more of it. As I have said there are those who do not believe class warfare should have a place in this nation. Too late, its only just begun.

concerted effort to "keep them down."

:lmao:

The utterly meaningless trite rhetoric just never ends.

Ben Bernaeke admitted part of his job was to keep unemployment at a certain level and he admitted it ties into wages.

If unemployment is low, wages go up.

This must be why the GOP were never happy in the 90's. No matter how good the economy was, they said Clinton sucked. Probably because his regulations stopped them from driving more jobs overseas. They needed Bush in office or a Romney to bury their head in the sand and allow jobs to go overseas.

Do you all know that the House passed a bill to stop giving tax breaks to companies going overseas and the GOP filabusted it? Of course not because the rich have taken over the corporate media. Its not liberal anymore. Not as liberal as it should be.

But all true.

For example, I know that corporations love free/unfair trade because then they can play countries against each other. If wages start to get too high or if labor organizes, they want to be able to just pick up and move to another broke ass country and this is not good for workers in any country.

This is why government needs to regulate corporations. And its funny because every country does except for America. Is that because the corporations think American workers are too expensive? Of course they do!

And it turns out we aren't that expensive. Or it turns out it isn't cheaper to make it over there and ship it home. But they don't tell us this because even though American workers are very productive, they'll never admit it.

I know this is all too deep for you to comprehend. I'm really talking at you and not to you because I know you don't understand.

All true my ass. I dont think you have the intellectual capacity for the debate, but I will give you a chance.

The issue with unions in the public sector is what?

Free trade was bipartisan, but you are such a worthless hack you refuse to acknowledge it.

Business will always seek ways to lower costs. The fucking low life democrats managed to exempt their personal businesses and friends businesses from minimum wage mandates.

So shut up and try to be honest for a fucking change.

You're dumber than shit.

Private companies don't owe you a job and the Govt should not be able to tell them where they can operate. :cuckoo:

If I create a company and eventually the local workers drive up my costs too high, then I have the right to move to a new city, new state, or new country to keep my company alive.

Assholes like you don't have any say in where I will operate the company, since you didn't start it.

Disillusioned means that any job that pays minimum wage is considered an actual "job." That to me is hilarious.

Idiot there is already a minimum wage to operate in this country, so a company has to pay that wage.

If a company wants to pay more for a worker then that will based on skills required for the job and their ability to pay that wage.

If I want a college educated skilled worker then a minimum wage salary isn't going to lure someone to my company. I will have to pay them +$40,000/year given they are improving the financial bottomline with their salary.

I wouldn't hire someone unless they are going to make more money for the company, that is basic economics.

If you dont want to pay a decent wage then DONT hire. Do the work yourself lazy hack.

"You are just mad your junkyard didn't make you millions like Romney's businesses, so the Gubermint needs to take more from him and trickle down some of that cash to you."

Nope. Not made at all. Happy as can be. Trickle down is a joke.
Instead of trickle down, what is your solution?
Do not use words such as "fair", "give" "owe" or "entitled".

No I didnt say Obama was creating good paying jobs. I said no matter who wins, it isnt going to change all that much.

Think about GOP logic/reasoning.

Manufacturing jobs left at $35 hr and they applauded saying factory workers were being paid too much to push a broom. They attacked labor/unions as they sent those jobs overseas.

Now those jobs are coming back at $10 hr. So their attack on labor worked!

But now they want to point to those wages and blame Obama because the jobs aren't good paying jobs.

Don't forget. If you are in the GOP, you don't want high paying jobs. If Obama is only adding low paying jobs, you should support him because that's what you want too.
$10 per hour is appropriate for unskilled entry level work.
Union leadership convinces people that putting in time on a the same job for years entitles them to high wages. No.
There is no attack. It's a correction. Unions caused wages for menial work to spiral out of control.

Nothing bad is ever directly because of the GOP. Anytime something goes wrong they say both sides are to blame. Never once in history has a GOP policy gone wrong.

They say, "clinton signed nafta". But it was created under HW Bush and the GOP got some democrats and Clinton to go along. BFD. Which party is more likely to fix what is wrong with NAFTA and which party thinks trade needs to be even freer?

Many Democrats have tried to tweek/fix the flaws in NAFTA to make it more fair. At every turn the GOP obstructed.

And Bush/the GOP actually made NAFTA worse. Between 2000-2006, they passed tax breaks for companies going overseas. Actually gave companies INCENTIVES to leave. I wonder who paid them to pass that law? Lobbyists ya think? And when we tried to pass a bill to take away those breaks, the GOP filabustered. But you wouldn't know that listening to Rush.

Fact is, us liberals are anti NAFTA and your side defends unfair trade. Every other country protects its vital industries and we did not? Why didn't we? Oh yea, because American workers wages are eating into profits. We make too much.
